Maybe. But it's kinda weird how their are a whole bunch of abilities that only 0-2 people have. Sandbag, Gyroball, Grt catcher just to name a few. I would like to see Ryan Howard's power upped, him given "timely whiff (210 k's, come on.) Also, add true utilties that can play a whole bunch of positions like Chone Figgins and Eric Bruntlett (utilty man for Phils, can paly everywhere except catcher). I know you can edit them, but that purple line bugs the crap out of me.

Well, I think players that have a certain number of things (E.g. HR), you need like 30ish to get A power and 3 TRJ. However, Giambi has more HR (or less, not by much) than manny, but his power is way off and Manny is close to A. If you underperform in the season (I mean injury or poor season), you would get bad(Meaning not what they deserve) stats. (Giambi, Rocco Baldali, Dice-K)

I guess you're right, but he had 210 k's and didn't get the ability that makes you strike out alot, i mean cm'on? That just doesn't make sense.

Does anyone want to see MLB PP 2009 on the PSP? I think it would work out nice.

Make the original pitch editing like 07 where you can upgrade it multiple times.

I've gotten it several times. Speaking of which I was going to make a video of my original pitches.

I passed on this game last year, because when I picked up the box the only thing going through my head was "cartoons in sports = dumb." But after hearing so many good things about this series I decided to give it a rent and then promptly went out spent a whopping 20 bones for one hell of a game. And this has got to be one of the best baseball games since the old SNK Baseball Stars on NES, but that may seem blasphemous in some circles. That being said, there are a couple things that could be improved.

First off I'd like to see the fielding improve. Not just the AI, but the controls. One thing that I think would help for situations where a ball is hit to the gap between SS and 3B and you think your controlling the SS, but the CPU gives you control of the 3B, and you end up running into foul territory as if you're scared of the ball, would be to have an arrow appear above the SS's head for the split second before the camera goes from batter view to over head. If the the CPU figures you better off controlling the 3B than have an arrow appear pointing to off camera left. This could be done for ball hit to outfield gaps by having arrows appear pointing to off camera up or upper corner. For bunts, an arrow above the pitcher or pointing off camera down for the catcher and so on. I think knowing who you have control of before you end up running the wrong way would take a lot of the frustation out of the game. Also move the jump/dive buttons to R1/L1 and mabe cut off to R2/L2 (PS2). I still will occasionally hit the button for the base I'm trying to throw to before my fielder catches the ground ball and I end up diving out of the way.

I would also like to have a baserunner mode/camera a la MLB 2K5. Where after you get on base you can elect to swap to control the baserunner and let the CPU hit for the next batter while you adjust your lead, decide to steal or take the turn at second on a base knock. This would be great in all modes, but especially in success/life where you could do more than just bat, but try to steal and earn quickness points, earn points toward agressive runner ability or whatnot.

i agree with the fielding. also it happens on foul popups where the 1st baseman could easily get it, but i controls the catcher.
