The april update. Here's who was hot and who was cold in April. (y) means they're hot, (z) means they were not. Also we signed Andrew Toles, this 23 year old centre fielder to a 1 year, 70k contract and moved him to AAA, Marzilli was sent down to AA.

MLB
shown in player stats

AAA
Jake Barrett (RP) (0.00 ERA, 9.1 IP, 10 K) (y)
Brandon Drury (3B) (.324 avg, 34 AB, 13 RBI) (y)
Jordan Pacheco (1B) (.300 avg, 70 AB, 12 RBI) (y)
Danny Dorn (LF) (.329 avg, 70 AB, 13 RBI) (y)
Nick Evans (1B) (.322 avg, 90 AB, 20 RBI) (y)
Aaron Blair (SP) (1.13 ERA, 23 IP, 23 K) (y)
Robbie Ray (SP) (1.24 ERA, 29 IP, 19 K) (y)

Randall Delgado (RP) (4.22 ERA, 10.2 IP, 4BB) (z)
Evan Marzilli (CF) (.226 avg, 53 AB, 5 RBI) (z)

AA
Patrick Schuster (RP) (0.00 ERA, 8.2 IP, 8 K) (y)
Andrew Chafin (SP) (1.93 ERA, 28 IP, 23 K) (y)
Todd Glaesmann (RF) (.348 avg, 66 AB, 10 RBI) (y)
Raul Navarro (SS) (.324 avg, 71 AB, 8 RBI, 10 SB)

Rudy Flores (1B) (.180 avg, 89 AB, 8 RBI) (z)
Sean Jamieson (SS) (.203 avg, 64 AB, 2 RBI) (z)
Zach Borenstein (RF) (.219 avg, 64 AB, 4 RBI) (z)
Stryker Trahan (C) (.068 avg, 44 AB, 1 RBI) (z)

Here are the NATIONAL league leaders in some stats at the end of April

Here are the standings for the MLB

And finally here are our MLB players' stats. Goldy killed it as you'd expect, Yasmany Tomas and David Peralta also surprised me with their performances. Patrick corbin also threw 2 complete game shutouts so thats awesome.

onto may.

AL West

Oakland is 14-9
Houston is 13-9
Seattle is 11-11
Texas is 9-12
Los Angeles just ceased to exist apparently

also those are the NL leaders, it appears, and not the MLB leaders

just minor complaints though, I'm enjoying this log so far, keep up the good work Mr. Fraser :)

is J.P. Howell actually the Dodgers closer in this game. if so, WHYYYYYYyyyyYYy

Wasn't Jansen injured to start the year?

I think so

but come on

they can definitely do better than J.P. Howell

Umm, JP Howell has an ERA of 1.59 IRL.

and an FIP of 3.11 and an xFIP of 3.55

His peripherals indicate that he's been pretty mediocre this year and has benefited from some good luck

Plus, he's J.P. Howell

The only time he's been allowed to close games on a regular basis was in 2009 with Tampa Bay. He was 17 for 25 that year. That's pretty horrible

He's 12-5 with an ERA of 2.30 ERA in 235 games over the past four seasons. That's good enough to be at least an interim closer in my opinion.

The site I used to make the standings still has 4 spots in division for AL West, so idk what to do about that if i use the same format. and ur right it is just the NL Leaders lol, thanks for telling me cuz otherwise i wouldnt have caught it.

We traded for Jonathan Villar. This pretty well addresses our one part of our middle infield but still looking to upgrade to a cheaper and younger option at 2B.

Jonathan Villar -- ARZ

Aaron Hill -- HOU
Andrew Chafin -- HOU
Mitch Haniger -- HOU

So we traded 2 High C prospects and managed to offload Aaron Hill and his large contract compared to the rest of the team. Jose Altuve is injured so I'm guessing that's a factor as to why they took him as well as being in a playoff run.

He'll be slotted in the #9 spot, Nick Ahmed will switch to 2B and Villar will take SS. Lastly, Archie Bradley was optioned down to AA, while SP Robbie Ray was called up from AAA.

Corbin threw another complete game! Only took him 83 pitches too. This was Villar's first game as a Dback, 2 singles off of bunts that were supposed to be sacrifices, but we'll take it!

If it's not obvious, I'm just experimenting with different ways on how to show you scores and all that, though if I do this again ^^ I'm gonna have to resize the picture, what do you all think?

Edit: btw OF Nick Buss was sent back down to AAA. 1B/OF Nick Evans was called up.

Nice trade, and if I'm correct, Villar has a 99 Drag Bunt rating in '15. Just bunt all the time with him
