I think he knows they wouldn't trade him within the division.

but yeah I would be happy with Mazara/Alfaro or Mazara/Chi-Chi

Ah, that's very interesting. Alright how's the farm system for the Rangers?

*rubbing hands excitedly*

it's pretty good

Joey Gallo, Chi Chi Gonzalez, and Hanser Alberto have all played in the majors already, but they're all back in AAA. Gallo's easily a top-three prospect on the team, Gonzalez is a top-three pitching prospect, and Alberto is a high-floor guy somewhere in the 20-30 range probably

Nomar Mazara and Nick Williams are the top two prospects (aside from Gallo) in my opinion, both outfielders at AA, Mazara's pretty much the consensus #1 team prospect. Jorge Alfaro is a good catching prospect, suffered an injury this year though, he's also at AA. Lots of pitching after that--Gonzalez, Jake Thompson, and Luis Ortiz are all good, with Dillon Tate and Michael Matuella also up there but very unlikely to be traded. Other notable prospects include shortstops Josh Morgan and Ti'Quan Forbes, CF Lewis Brinson, and utilityman Ryan Cordell.

Thanks for this AgentP! :D

I want a prospect who will be major league ready this year tbh. I honestly think that with the young guys coming up and the right moves in the draft, we could contend sooner than I'd expected.

Mazara's untouchable

ML ready? How about Chi Chi?

I'd be fine with Chi Chi along with one/both of Alfaro or Thompson and potentially another guy (like Forbes) that would be further off but has a high ceiling at this point

The White Sox need to make some changes ASAP. Their farm system is shit. I really don't agree with the direction the front office took. They really wasted money on a bunch of flops. Last year they looked promising at points, but now they're in a bad situation.

Complaining about White Sox
Maybe there is a reason behind this
But anyway, the White Sox are bad this year. The signings have made the team (somehow) worse. They may need to trade Sale and maybe even Abreu to willing contenders with good farm systems to make the Chi Sox better again. May take a while to rebuild.

I always have to explain my username. My first log was with the Twins in MLBPP08, so I didn't think, and just made my name Gotwins24. Also, my family is from Ohio and Illinois, and some are Indians fans, and some are Sox fans. I never really picked a favorite between the two. So there's that.

In my opinion LGM, Sale and Abreu are too young for trading at the moment. If they (White Sox) still suck within the next 4/5 or so years, then I can see them dishing out Sale but still hold onto Abreu

hmm alright i can live with Chi Chi. That's a great name.

since you seem to know a lot about farm systems, where do you think the Phillies should trade Hamels so as to yield the best prospects in return?

I read this and thought "Why is LGM to young to be traded? Why is LGM a freaking White Sox?" Then I realized you where just referring to him.

hmm

-Texas, as mentioned, could give up Alfaro and Chi Chi in a deal.
-The Yankees won't give up any of their top four prospects, I don't think they're really in play at this point.
-The Dodgers have been the other so-called frontrunner, they are extremely unlikely to give up Urias or Seager but either one of them would top Alfaro with ease; someone like RHP Grant Holmes or OF Alex Verdugo (both 19) could still be a headliner type, throw in someone like Austin Barnes (a catcher) and you're getting close to my proposed TEX deal.
-Boston won't give up Swihart, the Phils seem to really want a catcher, and the Sox have pretty much nothing else to speak of behind the dish; pairing one of their young arms (Owens, Johnson, Barnes?) and one of their top hitting prospects (Margot, Devers, Cecchini, Marrero?) could get them in the mix
-The Cubs have offered Starlin Castro and Javier Baez; that'd be tempting if not for the presences of Utley, Galvis, Cesar Hernandez, and J.P. Crawford already. Kyle Schwarber would very much intrigue the Phillies, I would think, especially if they could also get an arm like C.J. Edwards, Duane Underwood, or Pierce Johnson.

Nice. Seems like the Rangers would be their best bet in that case. If we could get some of LA's top prospects then that would probably be the best fit for Cole and the Dodgers (if I were a Dodgers fan I would be salivating at the prospect of Greinke-Kershaw-Hamels). It looks like the Phils are in a pretty solid position here for a trade especially after Cole's last outing. Thanks for this, Agent! :)

Regarding the Sox, a trade for a pitcher (like Hamels, or hopefully Gray) would revolve around Margot+Owens/Johnson+Marrero/Chavis. Three of those would be a pretty nice nucleus for a deal, with maybe a 4th lower ranked guy tossed in.
