Posting:

* Individual players should be in their own thread, with the full name of the player and position(s) in the title. Don't add superlatives or any other shout outs to it... we will see your guys...
* If you post a team or a set of players, add players by editing your starting post so they're all in the same post. A bump to announce the edit is appropriate.
* Posting images are fine, provided they are small in dimension and data. 800x600 and ~50Kb should be the biggest you can post inline (using the [IMG] tag), anything larger, post a link or a clickable thumbnail instead.
* If you have wiki rights, add your player(s) and team(s) there as well!

I would go for timely whiff, but he walks wayyyy to much for it, so it wouldn't be very accurate

However, he does lead the NL in strikeouts this season, already with 96! Before the break! He deserves Timely Whiff.

I wouldn't use Tough Out. Get Patient Hitter and Timely Whiff; That should help with both categories

I'd just recommend Timely Whiff and Tough Out, Pt Hitter is hard to get

The thing about Tough Out is that we normally use it for players that don't strikeout a lot. I don't know what this combo will bring to the table (Timely Whiff and Tough Out)

Yeah technically, they would cancel out. That leaves a player who only strikes out some of the time, haha.

I repeat LGM, Aaronator, and Rangers never listen to the voices of reason.

Who are the voices of reason?

And are you gonna provide any help or discussion about Joc Pederson? Because that's what this thread is about.

He's saying what I and skittles have been saying for a while now. Wait for the season to end so they can mature/develop into what their real form is. That'll allow us to utilize a full MLB season (or a good chunk of it) rather than trying to scale MiLB stats and use a small sample size of MLB games.

It's like saying that we'll make a reliever after he pitched 2 innings and then he was sent back down to AAA.
"well, his strand rate is 100%, his K/9 is 18.0, and his WHIP is .500. His fastball has a .000 BA against it so he'll need W/RISP 4, Poise 4, Fastball Life and Dr.K as well as Spin 4. His control needs to be 255 because he never walked anyone." (obvious over-exaggeration, but you get the point)

To try to wrap this up, what we've been saying is that if you give the rookies a full season (or a good amount of it) then you'll get a much more accurate representation of what their skills should be. That would be our logic on the matter.
