Is it too late to answer: "No"?

July:

After the first game (3-1 loss) I found out that I was the Rookie of the Month for June with 1 win, 5 saves, a 0 ERA, and 11K. Awesome! Relief Pitcher of the Month not awarded? Why not? There had to have been some relievers who played. Just gimme that award too! We started the month on a 4 game losing streak that I had to snap by getting a 3 inning save. Then I nailed a 1 run save to turn 1 streak to the other. Mia “Interviewed” me again. I wish she would just leave me alone. I have a good game every game you don’t have to keep telling me! Nobody on our team was even considered into all-star voting (no surprise there). I saw some pro golf clubs in the store but I couldn’t afford them, they should give golfers a discount. Some rich loser could just buy it even if he never golfed before…

Anyway I ended up buying a comic book and a mystery novel, donating 400$ on the way out. Our win streak ended at 4. I won my first player of the game against the Astros, with a runner on first I got them to hit 2 double play balls (Obviously neither turned 2) then allowed a single to Lance Berkman so the tying run was on third, but then I struck out the next batter. It’s the first time I’ve really been challenged so far. Afterwards I travelled to New York to watch the All-Star game; the AL won 9-3. Well… It’s not like we’re making the World Series anyway. I got bored because I wasn’t being challenged enough.

And the Giants made me pay with a walk off hit giving me my first loss and my first earned run. Bringing my ERA up to 0.31. This is so depressing, they finally trust me again and I blow the one run lead, at least it was mostly the defenses fault… It brought my ERA to 0.81, but the next day I managed to cling to a 0.2 inning save. After that I felt like I wasn’t focused, so I started drinking powerin. I got sick but still pitched 3.1 innings for the win. Team record was 12-12 for the month. But spirit is riding high and we might go on a winning streak to earn 4th any time now...

Here's my pitcher's debut:

I get to start the bottom of the 7th and strike all three batters out on 3 pitches. The manager decides I didn't pitch well enough so he takes me out and puts in Valverde who gives up a walk-off.

Yeah. More walks than hits on some years, career 1216 hits, 1153 walks - almost 1-1 ratio.

Lol JK . That's not really what I was going to type but I couldn't resist it. I don't really mind being off topic here because I can probably straighten it out by posting another part and it also helps keep my topic a bit closer to the top. Also those posts are half on topic, they're talking about Max Bishop, it's just the wrong one. Anyway what I was going to say was.

Note: Later I will be putting stuff that doesn't actually happen in my life mode. But I'm adding them for more realism. Definitely in the September log.

August:

I won Rookie of the Month for July. Our team wasn’t involved in any trade deadline blockbuster trades this year. This time I got another unrecorded save, it was a 3 run game with the tying runs on base. Our team really blew the 13 game winning streak. It seemed like they lost hundreds of times. If I can get my stamina up I might want to switch to a starter. It’s the only way I can help this teams hopeless pitching.

Everybody went from being incredibly happy to crying every waking minute. I know the teams pathetic but really, get over it. Forget what I said at the end of last month. As long as I have this Nationals uniform I’m condemned to be in 5th place… Every game we win is by 1 run, can’t we ever have a blowout? I’m sick of “Squeaking right by on that one” every game. I got credited with a loss in one of the next games. The defense is just so TERRIBLE. They play nowhere near where they’re supposed to and I can run faster than the ball goes when they throw it.

If I had a choice, I would demand a trade or else I’m retiring, this is just frustrating. It seems that the Coach is just as stupid as everybody else on this team, I call him to change my role to a starter and he hangs up on me for no reason whatsoever… A 16-13 record for the month, terrible, but slightly better. I’m looking forward to my birthday next month. It’s not like I have any playoffs to look forward to in the near future.


All in all I would say it was a pretty frustrating month. I reloaded FOREVER and couldn't get a win, so I gave up and took the losses.

I'm thinking of becoming a starter next year even though I don't have 30 stamina. I need more chance to be injured so I can meet the doctor.
