Okay, or not.

Name: Kent Murphy
Age: 69 25
Jersey Number: 6, or 9 if that isn't happening, then 16, then 19
Primary/Secondary Position: 2B
Nationality: Estados Unidos (U.S.)
Batting/Throwing Hand: R/R
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 186

Appearance (Body): Normal lookin dude.
Appearance (Face): http://static.tumblr.com/3d3fc7caaeac4bc6e06e759ec8d4d4b8/ayxccax/7vGmmpt4q/tumblr_static_kenttwitterprofilepic.jpg

Equipment: doesn't matter IG, I've never made a guy on The Show before
Glove Color: brown
Bat Color: black with light tan/white handle if that's an option
Batting Gloves: On, blue if that's an option
Pants Style: Long
Cleat Style: what

Stance/Windup: what

Strengths/Weaknesses: His main weaknesses are pride, boasting, cockiness, & bragging a lot. All-around player, nothing stands out.

Backstory (Optional): Was banned from Spring Training at the age of 19 for getting in a record 34 fights. Has now settled down and figured out his life with his anger management counselor, but lost a lot of his power because the rage inside of him was gone. Thus, he was forced to improve the other parts of the game, and his coaches say he is better off for it. Tells a lot of stories, and almost none can be validated as true.

This goes for everyone, not just you.

Yes, but that's the max. Also, if you do make two guys, I'm not going to put them both on the MLB team. One of them can be on the Jays and another in the minors, or you can have 2 guys in the minors.

If you do make 2 players, I would prefer that they both not be 18 or 19, but if you really want that then I'm not going to stop you.

I decided to add the bench right fielder myself so that all the position players would be made. All I need is 1 starter and a couple more relievers and then I can go ahead and set everything up.

Blue Jays Pitchers & Catchers Report to Spring Training
by Richard Griffin, The Toronto Star
Sunday, February 16, 2014

Image
DUNEDIN - Blue Jays ace R.A. Dickey talks on his phone while taking a rest. If he can bounce back from a disappointing 2013 season, he could be a valuable trade chip for a decimated Blue Jays team.

Pitchers and Catchers have reported to spring training today, and as expected, there are many unfamiliar faces wearing a Blue Jays jersey, many of them doing so for the first time ever. While we aren't ready to fully disclose all the players the Blue Jays added quite yet, we can tell you who they released:

RP Sergio Santos
SP J.A. Happ
RP Michael Schwimer
2B Chris Getz
1B Dan Johnson
RF Brett Carroll
RP Aaron Loup
CF Colby Rasmus
RP Steve Delabar
SP Esmil Rogers
SP Brandon Morrow
C Erik Kratz
RP Brett Cecil
SP Mark Buehrle
RP Mickey Storey
1B Adam Lind
LF Moises Sierra
C Josh Thole
2B Maicer Izturis
LF Melky Cabrera
SP Ricky Romero
RP Casey Janssen

New GM Derek Dorian promised the Toronto media that everything about the new players will be known once the position players report, which will be on Thursday, the 20th.

In the meantime, the Star caught up with Jays manager John Gibbons, whose future is in question at the moment, for a quick interview. When asked what he felt about the new signings, he stated: "Y'know, some of these guys are actually surprisingly good. I'll have to give some credit to Dorian and his scouts. I don't know if I'll be back next year, and if I'm not, there could be a nice foundation laid out for the guy who takes over after me. I know Dorian doesn't want you guys to know anything about these guys just yet, so I'll just say that he picked up some very physically imposing guys to play for this team. My main concern is that we may not have enough relief pitchers. Hopefully Dorian can handle that soon enough."

Blue Jays Position Players Report to Spring Training
by Richard Griffin, The Toronto Star
Thursday, February 20, 2014

Image
DUNEDIN - New signing Dioner Navarro finishes taking batting practice. After serving some time as a backup catcher, he is competing for the starting job with new signing John Scott.

Position players have now reported to Spring Training, and GM Derek Dorian has opened the veritable floodgates. He announced the 40-man roster which included a glut of new signings, and he also allowed all the players to talk with the media. Because of this, I plan on interviewing one of the new Blue Jays daily, in a series I'm calling "Jay of the Day."

In the meantime, here's a list of all the new signings on the 40-man roster:

Position, Name, Jersey #, B/T, Ht/Wt, Age, Birthplace (OVR)
RP Leo Vizcaino, #38, R/R, 5'9"/176, 27 y/o, Caracas, Venezuela (86 OVR)
LF Hayden Goldson, #6, R/R, 6'4"/235, 24 y/o, Winnipeg, Manitoba (82 OVR) ✓
RP Stephen Brooks, #23, S/R, 6'4"/195, 23 y/o, Christchurch, New Zealand (81 OVR) ✓
RP Austin Langer, #51, R/L, 6'5"/210, 26 y/o, Columbus, Ohio (81 OVR)
SP Dean Stradley, #60, S/R, 5'11"/213, 31 y/o, Beaverton, Oregon (81 OVR)
SP Moses Adler, #25, L/L, 6'0"/195, 25 y/o, Tel Aviv, Israel (80 OVR)
CF Mackenzie Matthews, #40, 6'2"/210, 28 y/o, Stamford, Connecticut (80 OVR) ✓
LF Damon Allred, #4, 6'4"/235, 25 y/o, Jacksonville, Florida (78 OVR) ✓
SP Danny Hopkins, #18, 6'2"/205, 23 y/o, Birmingham, England (78 OVR) ✓
RP Lamont Cates, #49, 6'3"/245, 23 y/o, Chapel Hill, North Carolina (77 OVR)
2B Kent Murphy, #9, 6'1/186, 25 y/o, Los Angeles, California (77 OVR) ✓
SP Yoshimitsu Tsuchii, #2, 6'2"/170, 25 y/o, Osaka, Japan (76 OVR)
C John Scott, #32, 6'8"/259, 31 y/o, Edmonton, Alberta (74 OVR)
SS Michael Scott, #28, 5'8/175, 22 y/o, Toronto, Ontario (72 OVR) ✓
RF Todd Rosado, #35, 5'11"/188, 26 y/o, El Paso, Texas (71 OVR) ✓
RP James Bennett, #30, 6'0/200, 25 y/o, San Bernardino, California (70 OVR)

The Jays also announced the signings of 6 players: C Lou Marson, SP Darby Clancy, SP Robert Tomlinson, 1B Pete Grossman, CF Aatu Selin, and 3B Lonnie Bradshaw. All of them received minor league deals. Marson was the only one of those 6 added to the 40-man roster, while the rest were all sent to Double-A New Hampshire.

To get the new guys acquainted with one another, they held a home run derby at the end of the day. Damon Allred defeated John Scott in the final round 9-8 to win it.

The Jays' first spring training game is on the 24th against a revamped Yankees squad. Fans of both teams aren't really sure what to expect from either of them.

If you want to see how your finished player turned out appearance-wise, then let me know and I'll PM you a pic.
