They're rumors, and even if he is in a gang, releasing him before he's ever even been arrested is preposterous.

Uh, yeah first off, the Eagles didn't officially say that it was gang connections. They said it was many problems mostly work ethic and attitude. Also, he didn't get along with Chip Kelly. As for Riley Cooper being a racist, exactly what Brewers said. Now I know context means everything when it comes to that word, but the players in the Eagles locker room forgave him and he made it very clear that he's not a racist. So, yeah.

Anyway, I say we get a receiver in free agency or try to get a trade. Definitely focus on defense in the draft.

So Riley Cooper made poor decisions. Desean Jackson made poor decisions. One was cut. Doesn't make much sense to me. I mean, this is my point. If Jackson got cut for having a poor attitude, why didn't Cooper get cut too?

Because Cooper's "poor attitude" (one incident at a concert) was not demanding a new contract right after getting a five year extension. Jackson's attitude has always effected him on the field. Honestly, he should've been cut during the 2012 season.

Lol at Desean Jackson's attitude affecting him on the field. Obviously having over 80 catches, 1,300 receiving yards, and 9 TDs means you're a slacker that deserves to be cut. Cooper, though, was rewarded with a big 5-year-deal after one okay season.

Yeah DeSean's attitude DOES affect him on the field. He had a great year last year no doubt, but if you don't get him going early on he's more or less a no show. Also factor all the penalties he gets from feuding with opposing players. Jackson's a problem and there is no denying that. And they locked Cooper up because they knew Jackson would be gone sooner rather than later.
