I told coach that I wanted to finish my inning without giving up a run.

The game started, and the score was 0-0 when I came in in the fifth inning. Brandon Smith, their first baseman led off with a hard single to center off of me. I got the next two guys out, Smith moving up to second. Then, their eighth hitter, Carlos Tejada drove a single to score Smith, making it 1-0. Then, Everest, their shortstop hit an RBI single to make it 2-0. I pitched beginning the sixth as well. The first hitter of the inning, Dustin McClester smacked a solo homer, and that was it for me, pitching 1+, 18pitches, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs and a homer.

We lost 4-2.

Coach told me that i pitched fine, and that the alumni were really good.

I ended up playing 3 innings, all at first base. I went 1-2, with a single. I was happy I got a hit.

I got proud and I told my coach that I was going to strike everyone out. That didn't go as well as I planned. I pitched the sixth inning, after Simon screwed the game up, and I gave up a solo home run to Bo Wiseman to make it 4-2. After that, everything went smooth as silk though, as I struck out 2 and threw 17 pitches.
