Why? Sure he did steroids but with his playing ability before he got all bulky and presumably started using PED's, I think he was good enough to make the HOF if he kept up his performance to the end of his career.

The MLB is trying so hard to pull out of the steroid era that I think it's just setting them back if people continue to allow PED users in the hall of fame.

So, related to the Hall of Fame vote, I forget if we mentioned it, but how do you guys feel about Deadspin buying a Hall of Fame vote from a voter? Do you think this could be a trend in the future.

Biggio was super close, he received 74.8% of the votes.

Craig Biggio has to make it next year.

Edit: I dislike how Mussina, Piazza, and Jack Morris haven't gotten on yet, I'm pretty sure that was Morris' last time on the ballot.

Correct on Morris, as that was his 15th try. I believe he can still get in eventually, but it would have to be through another means. Piazza will get in next year of the year before that. Mussina's gonna have to wait a while. There's no chance he gets in this decade. If he still has decent percentages by then, he might have a chance
