Bio: Lucas is a sophomore in high school, and has two brother and a sister. His older brother, Brad, is a shortstop, and is a senior in high school, (the best player on the team). FEBUARY week 3, 2013

It was the first day of baseball practice today, and I was so pumped to be able to get to play on the Varsity instead of being stuck on the stupid JV like last year. When Brad and I arrived at practice, I started warming up with Case for 10 minutes until coach called us over to begin practice.
"It's nice to see all of you here today as we start our journey towards a state title." He then made the Sophmores get up and introduce themselves to their teammates. When that was over coach continued with his speech. "In case you didn't know, this team is based on speed and base running. They are our bread and butter. Since this is the first day, We're only doing some BP and fielding. Lucas, you're up first" He said pointing at me. I grabbed my bat and stepped up to the plate. Coach was pitching.
