The Rays' pitcher lifted his front leg, and I took off immediately. I lucked out, as he didn't throw over to first, and I just barely got a good enough jump to slide in ahead of the throw (Speed +10, Stealing +20).

Over the rest of the game, I went 1 for 4 with a single and a run scored. Sam Decker pitched great, but Mike Conway was the hero, hitting a grand slam in the 8th that propelled us to a 7-1 victory.

I convened outside the movie theater with Scott, Colin, and Mike. We Mike was arguing with Colin and Scott while I stayed quiet.

"I already ate," complained Mike. "You said we were going to a movie."
"I said 'we'll figure something out, maybe a movie'," explained Scott. "I never said we were just going straight to the movies."
"Yeah, I'm hungry too," said Colin.

I started to zone them out and stare at my shoes. I hadn't eaten anything prior either, but I chose to stay out of it.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around.

"Justin? Justin with a J?"
I was initially confused, by I figured it out and my heart started to race.
"Catherine!"
She nodded and smiled. "With a C!"

We exchanged pleasantries and she asked what I was up to. I looked at my friends is they bickered.

Trembling a bit, I reached into my pocket and handed her my cell phone. She typed for a bit, then gave it back.
"Give me a call sometime."

I smirked. "Yeah, I'll definitely do that."
She smiled. The space outside her eyes wrinkled a bit when she did, and I noticed she had dimples. My heart accelerated. "See you around," she said, heading down the sidewalk.
"Y-yeah, see you."

I looked at my phone and to my right to see Scott, Colin, and Mike staring at me.

"Who was that?" asked Scott.
"That? That-that was, uh, Catherine."
Mike looked on in disbelief. "Did you just pick her up on the spot?"
"Heh, no, we- uh, we've met before."
"Holy shit man, you're a dog," said Mike, smiling and hitting me on the arm.
I blushed. "No, it's really not a big deal."
"Whatever you say, man. Anyway, we need a tiebreaker. Hooters, Geno's, or the new sports bar by the ice cream place?

I had a feeling which one Mike wanted.

"Geno's is good."

Mike groaned, and Scott pumped his fist. We went out, got some food (Mike sulking about the lack of breasts), and went to see a movie afterward.

Over the next four days, I DH'd three times and started at third on Thursday. I played well, going 6 for 15 with a double with just one strikeout and two walks as we split a four-game set with the Yankees.

I also went grocery shopping, but I didn't see Catherine.
