This laptop will definitely take some getting used to, apparently it is much more powerful, but I'm not sure about some of the design choices. I don't think there's a scroll bar for the touch pad (I may have to start regularly using a mouse if I can't get used to that), and the buttons to click on the touch pad aren't separate from the pad itself, the whole touch pad is like one big button you can push down. I guess that can all be solved by using a mouse if it comes to that.

Also, I didn't notice until I started this post, but the space bar is a bit smaller than I'm used to, in that first sentence I hit "alt" about 5 times trying to use the space bar. I'm not sure what I should do to test out if the laptop is actually much more powerful than the other one. Most of the games I would want to try aren't free so I'd need to wait and get a credit card first.

I know what you mean. I sometimes help my dad with his Mac, and it's weird to not use the touch pad to scroll up and down a page, like my laptop does.

If you do need to get a mouse, I know in the US there are things called "USB mouses" that use a sensor connected to a USB port to use a wireless mouse. It's pretty cool. Don't know if there are any in Canada, but I would venture to guess that there should be.

That post you made makes me think that you assume that Canada either doesn't get any goods from anywhere in the world, or that Canada is technologically inferior to the US based on products available to the public.

Sorry if it came off like that. I wasn't trying to be offensive in any way, just didn't know what you do or don't have in Canada (though I think it's pretty much the same, if not better, than what the US has), since I've never been to Canada before.

Yeah, I have one of those and I'm already starting to use it more. It connected to this laptop in about half a second where it took forever to connect to the other one. And I tried out a Facebook game's simulation and it ran ridiculously fast compared to the old one. Haven't tried anything major yet, but these small things indicate that this laptop is at least a bit better than the other one.

As far as the US/Canada thing, they're pretty much the exact same culture and technology and such at this point. With some slight differences here and there. I've heard people here are more polite, but whenever I've visited the US the few people I've actually come in contact with seemed pretty nice too.

I have, went to the Rogers Center. Anyways, Prediction is right, Canada is pretty much the same as the US in most aspects. Glad you guys could get this settled.
