The Royals have been 17-3 in their last twenty games, or something like that I read on ESPN, so do they make the playoffs? I think they will because, something like, james shields, and, yeah, they're pretty good in pitching, and offence, and yeah, and, wade davis, has been, a disappointment, but i think, he'll, bounce, back, yeah.

Addressing the actual question, no, I don't think they make the playoffs. The Rays/Red Sox likely have the first WC spot down. That leaves Baltimore, Cleveland, Texas/Oakland, and of course, Kansas City fighting over the last spot. And I don't think the Royals can pass all of them

I'm still waiting for the Red Sox to blow up, so I'm leaving them out of the whole playoff picture, so Tampa/Baltimore wins the AL East, which leaves Tampa/Baltimore, Oakland and the Royals themselves, Cleveland is also on my blow up in august and September list. I remember a while back I said Texas isn't going to make it to the playoffs, but I guess I was wrong.

I don't see them catching the Tigers, and with all the strong AL teams who would be competing for the WC slots, the playoffs just aren't in the cards this year. Poor Royals. They deserve a good playoff run after all those years of mediocrity.

Honestly though, I like the Royals, might be my AL team. They've built up some good young talent over these past few years. I'm rooting for them but with that list of teams mentioned above in the WC race, it's probably unlikely.

I think they have a good shot. They're my #2 AL team so I'm rooting for them all the way, and it's always nice to see some new faces in the playoffs.

because i *(censored)* hate the red sox Mainly due to previous years, namely the end of the 2011 season, plus their horrendous 2012 campaign.

I think it's known by most people that this is a completely different team from 2012. And especially, from 2011.
