My PS3 has started to overheat on occasion, but I always turn it off in time to avoid anything bad. It's frozen several times as well. I will be upgrading to a PS4 when it comes out, so hopefully I don't run into the same problems.

Also, the NCAA has chosen not to renew its license with EA Sports, likely marking the end of the NCAA Football series. Could this mean a return for College Hoops 2K or a 2K college football game?

Probably not. Have you not heard about that huge lawsuit?

However, EA can still make college football games featuring all the teams and stadiums. It just can't be called NCAA Football ## anymore.

I also love fans wish for 2K to take over football because EA is awful, and for EA to take over baseball because 2K is awful. I've always thought that was a bit funny.

My current PS3 can't be older than a year or two, I had to replace the old one. I play EA's NHL series, so needless to say, the old PS3 broke. Damn that series, it has enough bugs to literally break consoles, but they have no competition, so I need it.

Don't have any problems with any other games running loudly, every other game runs at the same quiet volume except that one. It's like it's supposed to be designed for PS4 but got released on PS3 instead. I mean, it's a console game, it should run fine if you have the console no matter what. It's not like it's for PC and you have to keep the system updated to play the latest releases.

Edit: Also, for whatever reason, the old PS3 could run my copy of Kingdom Hearts while my PS2 can't. So that was an annoying loss.

Well the game is literally pushing the console to its limits. There have been a few complaints about it causing the console to become loud and hot, but they are pretty infrequent. The game is part of the issue, but it comes down to your console. It might be an issue with the fan, or people have said it could be the disk drive. It's hard to know the answer without hearing it, and even then I surely wouldn't know which one is causing it.

Really, I suppose if you play games like you're supposed to it's not a huge issue. It only gets like that when you play it for an extended period of time and you're technically supposed to take a break after every hour of video games. Although the break is advised to be 15 minutes, but that wouldn't be long enough to bring it back down to normal anyway. I've turned on the PS3 at least an hour after somebody played it once and the console turning on sounded like a plane taking off.

Getting into the actual game, I don't have many problems with it, I think my biggest complaint is the ammo dropping system. The game detects how much ammo you have and gives you more ammo when you have less. I don't know if it's much of a difference on the higher difficulties, but I just think the system is backwards. It kind of rewards you for being a poor shot and getting into firefights rather than being stealthy and efficient.

Mine is 4 years old, and purrs like a mute kitten.

No, you don't serve jail-time until your 2nd offense, at least in Wisconsin. And then it's only 5 days. 3rd offense is 30 days. You start getting into reaaaal trouble after 4.

I have a distant cousin that served 30 days, a few years ago...
