lol what even is this topic

Wednesday, June 7th at 10:30 P.M.

Uhhh you went out with Mike or something and team chemistry went up but money went down. I really don't want to write this part.

Thursday, June 8th at 7:10 P.M.

Our next series was against the GCL Rays. I was still batting second and starting at third.

In the first inning, with nobody on base and one man out, a grounder came my way. It was somewhat hard hit and slightly to my left.

DECISION TIME!
A. Wait for it
B. Charge it and field it on the forehand
C. Move left to get in front of it.
D. Close your eyes and pray

Thursday, June 8th at 7:10 P.M.

I moved to my left to get in front of the ball. It took a funny hop, but I recovered and got the man at first for the out (E RES +5). Julio Medrano struck out the final hitter of the inning to send us to the bottom of the first.

Grady Jones laid down a bunt single to start our half of the inning. I came up to the plate and watched as the third base coach tapped his hat, leg, arm, and chest in that order.

Wait, *(censored)*. Is that the steal or hit and run?

I stepped into the box, unsure of what to do. The Rays' pitcher wound up and threw. I could see it was going to be a strike.

DECISION TIME!
A. Swing
B. Take

Thursday, June 8th at 7:15 P.M.

I swung and grounded the ball to short. Except the shortstop wasn't there; he was covering second for the steal. Grady made it to third and I pulled into first with a single.

Carlos Galvez then came up and launched a fly ball to deep left center field. It landed, and Grady and I both scored with ease. After Mark Kellum lined out to the second baseman, Mike Conway launched a two-run homer over the left field wall. The next two batters were retired easily, but the damage was done: The score was 4-0 Red Sox.

I singled and scored in my next at-bat, then grounded out in my next two. I was due up in the 9th, but never got that opportunity as we won the game 6 to 1.

I arrived home at about 11:00.

Friday, June 9th at 3:00 AM

I immediately went to bed and managed to get a decent amount of sleep before getting up for the next day's day game.

I was starting and batting second once again. In my first at bat, I flew out with the bases empty. I came up again in the third with the bases loaded and one out.

DECISION TIME!
A. Look for something up and try to hit a fly ball.
B. Hit the first fastball you see.
C. Work the count
D. Surprise both your coaches and the other team with a drag bunt

I decided to swing at the first fastball I saw. The Rays' pitcher wasn't too hard of a thrower, and the first pitch, sure enough, was a mid-80's fastball right over the heart of the plate. I loaded and unleashed all I had on the ball, sending it deep to left-center field. I knew off the bat it wasn't being caught, so I put my head down and ran to first. Rounding the bag and heading for two, I saw 9-hitter James Glass about halfway between third and home, and Grady Jones was already rounding third. I slowed down and pulled into second with a stand up double. Grady slid into home, but the play was never close, and just like that, the score was 3-0 Red Sox.

Maybe if I wasn't so SLUGGISH from using the INTERNET all night, that ball would've gone over the fence.

I struck out and walked in my two plate appearances, finishing the game 1 for 3 in a 4-2 victory.

After the game and after showering and changing to my street clothes, I decided to go for a walk downtown. While window shopping, a woman approached me.

"You seem like the indecisive type."

She was brunette, wearing a blue sweater and a long skirt. I turned to her.

"Uh, what?"
"Let me ask you something. Do you ever find yourself at a crossroads? Time's when you have to choose between two or more paths?"
"Well... yeah."
"Do you ever find yourself regretting your decisions?"
"Oh... uh.... maybe."
"Things like 'Why did I say that?' or 'What if I'd chosen the other road'?"
"...Yeah, that sounds like me."
"You may think you have the freedom of choice, but it's all controlled by destiny."
"Wh-what?"
"A choice in life is like playing a card from your hand."
"A card?"
"That's right. You have to always bear in mind what card you want to play. It's important to not be pressured into bring a specific card into play."
"..."
"You seem like the type that can calmly choose the card you desire."
"Uh, thanks."
"You'll have no problems as long as you have a card to play. When you come to a crossroad in your life, make sure you select the right card."
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"The day will come when you'll understand everything I've said. Goodbye."

What was that all about?

Coach approached me before the game and asked if I'd be alright with DH'ing the next couple games so Mike Conway could get some work on the infield.

"Sure, coach," I replied. "No problem."
"Thanks Justin. I knew you'd understand."

Despite being in at DH, I was still batting second. Grady tripled to start the game, but I quickly found myself in an 0-2 count. The Rays' pitcher, their ace and a lefty, came in with a slider that I chased away. Fortunately, it got away from the catcher and went all the way to the backstop. Grady scored, and I managed to get to first, bringing up Carlos Galvez. I took my lead and our third base coach touched his cap, indicating I had the green light.
