Recap: The Stampede took advantage of the Monarchs worn down pitching staff and used a huge 5 run 3rd inning to complete their first ever series sweep. The Struggling Monarchs drop to a miserable 6-23 on the season while the Stampede will now go into a big 3 game series with the Round Rock Ramblers who sit tied atop the NL Central with the Stampede at 19-9. In an interview after the game, Starting pitcher K.K. Jennings seemed very excited about picking up his first career win, saying "Yo I was out there dealing today, thats the first time this year I was feeling all of my pitches dog, I was throwing my fastball and the hitters were oh like woah!?!? and I was all like yea thats right, sit down and tell me how that bench feel haha you know what im saying homie?"

The Oklahoma City Stampede have signed 23 year old right handed pitcher Fernando Hernandez to a one year deal worth $390,000 dollars. Owner Grant Bryant had this to say about the move "Hopefully Hernandez can bring much needed help to our struggling bullpen, we feel like he can help bring this team to a whole new level." Hernandez will also bring in some much needed depth to a short manned pitching staff.
