I'm sure most of you don't know who Freel is, but this news hits me hard. He became a star during my Reds dynasty in Power Pros '07, winning MVP twice and guiding me to 5 straight WS wins. Whenever I think of '07, this guy instantly comes to mind, and his in-game stardom is what helped me fall in love with my team, and that game in general

People with a strong motive will find ways to get guns regardless of whether or not they're legal, which is something that some Americans don't seem to understand.

^Both that, and even if he couldn't get his hands on a gun, he likely would have tried other ways (Pills, Hanging, etc.)

It doesn't really have much to do with gun control, they don't really have a reason about why he shouldn't have been able to obtain the gun. Sure, guns are dangerous, especially when people want to hurt someone. But the chance of being in a hunting accident are very slim, especially if you hunt with people who are careful and properly taught about how to safely care for and handle a gun.
