Yeah, I guess that was kinda predictable. I thought about throwing in a curveball, but ultimately decided against it. Then again, I'm not the greatest writer in the world, so...yeah.

Take it from the greates writer in the world, I totally thought you would go the whole, "The Price is Right is a trap set by the government and they are all androids trying to get Robert to turn over the Mendenhals to them, so Robert and Kayla have to fight and Robert sacrifices himself for the betterment of mankind as Dan Potter takes over the team." You made one of the best twist endings ever, man.

Seriously, though, I liked that arc. Can't wait for more.

I'd still take Molina just for his potential at that point. Good trade for whoever got Molina.

May 4, 2012 - Story Update, Part 3

As Robert made his way to the Plinko board, he felt a sense of nostalgia. He always wanted to play Plinko on The Price is Right someday, just not when he was the General Manager of a MLB team. It just felt weird for some reason.

After the audience helped him out with Plinko chip placement, he sent it on its way. It quickly veered off to the left, but magically came back to land in...

"$0," Drew said, "Come on Robert, get that one in the $10,000 slot!" The next one went the opposite way, veering off to the right, but clinked back around to the middle to land in...

$0. Again.

"Man, Robert," Drew said, "you gotta cut down the middle on that one. You've hit both $0 slots, now let's get $10,000!"

The next chip that Robert sent down was a thing of beauty. He really liked where this was gonna end up. Really much....until it veered right at the last intersection to land in $0 again.

"Robert," Drew said sympathetically, "come down here real quick." Robert made his way down to meet Drew.

"Alright, Robert," he started, "you've been a good contestant so far, OK? I know you can do this. Let's not get another $0, alright? I know you can do it! Let's go!"

Robert then made his way back up. That pep talk sure seemed to help, as the next chip to be sent down was a beauty.

It was perfect.

It stayed in the middle the whole time.

The whole time.

Until

it

landed

in

$0.

Robert couldn't help but chuckle at how bad he was doing. This was his favorite game! How could he be so bad at it? Stage fright, perhaps? Rigged Plinko chips? Whatever it was, he was at $0 going to the last chip. This one had to get in $10,000 for a reasonable payout.

He let it go.

Another beauty of a release.

He liked it.

The audience liked it.

The prize models liked it.

Even Drew liked it.

Of course, the chip landed in...

Wait...it suddenly got stuck just before it got in the $10,000 slot. Drew said he would give Robert a re-do on that chip, since it got stuck in the board. Drew tossed it back up, and Robert immediately sent it on its way.

Would his luck change?

Would he get a decent payout?

Those questions were answered pretty quickly, as it landed in...

"$10,000! My goodness! You did it!" Drew exclaimed. Robert ran back down to the floor to meet up with him, and then they went to the commercial break.

Later

Later on, Robert participated in the Showcase Showdown, and that huge wheel that they had to spin. Somehow, he had won the most money out of the other 2 contestants he was facing (apparently, this particular taping hasn't been so kind to the contestants,) so he would go last.

The first contestant used both of his spins, and went over by just 5 cents.

The next contestant was a bit better; both her spins totaled 80 cents. It was now down to Robert to try to beat it.

That wheel...it was a daunting task for him to try and spin it, since he had never worked out in his life. On TV, he thought it weighed about 300 pounds, and the way he spun it looked like it weighed double that. It didn't go all the way around, and he was booed by the audience.

"Man, Drew," Robert said, "my luck ain't that good today, eh?"

"Yeah, man," Drew replied, "I feel a bit bad for ya. Try again."

This time, Robert's spin was a bit better. In fact, it was a lot better, as it approached $1. It started to slow down a bit, and when the proverbial dust settled, it ended up one millimeter away from $1, but five seconds later, clicked over to the dollar. Everybody was confused and excited at the same time. Either way, Robert was heading to the showcase! His bonus spin, however, didn't get into the 5-15-dollar area for bonus money.
