And Citizen Kane. Considered by most to be one of the greatest films of all time.

Movie's should be judged on story, character, acting, direction and cinematography among other things.

Not to say action movies should be frowned upon. Yeah, the Transformers movies aren't good, but fun action movies like Back to the Future are always great.

Just watch it again and keep an open mind, Liam.

Wow I haven't been on here in a long time....

I just don't find them exciting because since it is black and white, it was made a while ago, and that makes the acting not as good as today. Just saying.

That is completely fallacious logic. If you were to say that there's a load more competition, so only the best of the best get the parts, then I could agree, but simply saying it was decades ago = worse acting is absolutely untrue.

The huge difference between movies then and today is one thing: emphasis on dialogue (okay, two if you count the pacing). Then, movies were much, MUCH more focused on the dialogue, etc, and overall were far slower-paced than today's movies. Present-day movies have camera changes every, what, 4 seconds on average? It's more action-y, more fast-paced, more ADD, because that's what has grown to accommodate the viewers best is this constant change in camera angles, scenes, etc, and less focus on the conversations, etc. themselves. You don't as see much conversation in, say, Dark Knight Rises or even something like Little Miss Sunshine, as you would in something from 5 decades ago like To Kill A Mockingbird.

They should remake it with the great actors we have today. Kristen Stewert and Keanu Reeves would make it great. And Tommy Wiseau as Attcius Finch is a must.
