Pfft. I'm reading Wuthering Heights for English right now. EVERYONE marries their cousin in that book.

Hey, congratulations to her! What would she get if she wins?
I have absolutely no idea. She gets to be awesome, I guess. :P

Whatever it is, I'm sure it's better than To Kill a Mockingbird. It's the most boring book I've ever read, seriously.

I feel as if that comment was directed to me...

UGH, Shakespeare really bores me... we had to go watch a play for English, and got sat in the shade. Which was nice, if it wouldn't have been 40 degrees out. :( I felt like I really was in medieval Europe!

Also, Bret Bielema... :( A kid in the class above me said it was a good thing, because he was a bad coach, and defensive minded... he played Wisconsin football. And set the school scoring record in the meantime. He also said it was good, because he would've been fired soon anyway.

Whatever, good luck Bret! And if only Paul Chryst had stayed 1 more year... :(

I actually loved To Kill A Mockingbird.

Anyways, not that I care about the NBA, but here are some amazing comments on the article about New Orleans possibly changing their name to the Pelicans for next season:

Quote:
-Upon hearing the news, Anthony Davis raised his single eyebrow in disbelief.

-"What if I told you a Hurricane wasn't the biggest disaster in New Orleans"
-----ESPN 30 for 30

-Hasn't this city already been through enough?

-BREAKING NEWS: In response to the horrible nickname, the NBA has announced that it will fine the San Antonio Spurs an additional $250,000.

-Eric Gordon is out another month due to this name change.

-is the logo going to have them covered in oil?

-Drew Brees to donate 1 million dollars to N.O. basketball naming disaster...

-At halftime fans will try to shoot a 3-pointer into the mascots mouth...

-ESPN's Headline Tomorrow: "Suh Doesn't Like Name "Pelicans". Should He Be Suspended?"

-"Mine mine mine mine mine mine!"

If you mean mine, mine was directed toward the book Zumi was talking about.

I don't know, it's just not my kind of book. It just seems like it stretches out too long to me.

It's my birthday tomorrow! :D

Not sure if I want to go to school or not and whether I'd even be allowed to stay home. Probably not, but it would help me get through the week having one less day 'till the weekend.

Where you in that book.

I'm with S-Jax on this. The book is great.

The film adaption is very good too.

Well, we were assigned to read a couple chapters every night for HW, but I guess after I first read it while tired in class, it didn't really make a great impression on me. When we read it for class, I just find it too long for my (now) 15-year old mind to read through without getting bored, I figure why try. :|

The premise seems interesting but I don't know. Just not my kind of book, I guess. No offense to you guys though, that's just me.

If I were you, I'd just read the SparkNotes summary. I did that on a book I read this year and got 100% on the comprehension test.

That's kinda what I have been doing, it's not like it's cheating really. It's a good summary of the book and as long as you understand the story that's all that matters, right?

Or maybe I'm completely wrong. I do have to catch up on the book though.

My English class is reading Antigone right now (it's a play). Oedipus, Antigone's father, marries his own mother, Jocasta. So essentially Antigone's grandmother is also her mother. :O

Thanks, DTigers. :D

I want a present from Ruben Amaro, he hasn't done anything at the Winter Meetings. Then again, I do have the present of homework from my teachers, ugh.
