NOTE: The story about the taping will be broken up into parts. After every series or so, this particular story will continue, due to the length I have planned for this.

After the game, Kayla called up Robert, congratulating him on the victory. "Congratulations on the win, Robbie," she said, "and I was there! That was so cool, especially that home run by Suave...Suede-o, Sue-"

"Suezo," Robert said.

"Yes, that guy," Kayla replied, "whatever. Anyway, I got you a ticket to the taping tonight!"

"Sweet!" Robert said, excitedly. "What game show is it, may I ask?"

"Well, I'll give you a hint," Kayla told him, "it's at CBS Television City. Shouldn't be too far from Anaheim, right?"

Hmm...CBS Television City. Robert wasn't as keen on game shows as he once was when he was younger, but something did sound familiar about that name.

"Yeah, it's not that far. Just a quick ride on 1-5. See ya there," Robert said, and hung up. He got in his rental car -- he found a good price on a Smart Car in the lot -- punched in the address on his GPS and set off for the taping.

1 hour later

When he got to CBS Television City, he quickly got in the line with Kayla, who somehow made the other people around her understand that she was saving a spot for someone.

After waiting for about a half-hour in line, he finally realized what game show he was participating in the taping for. It was the yellow price tag-shaped namecards that gave it away...

"Oh my, really," Robert asked Kayla when they took their seats, his tone while asking more out of amazement than anything else, "The Price is Right?"

"Yeah," Kayla said in a gleeful tone, "isn't that cool, or what?!"

Robert hadn't seen The Price is Right for a good while, so he had no clue what newfangled pricing games they had. After a brief orientation exercise from the production crew, the taping was about to start.

"Here it cooooooooomes! From the Bob Barker Studio at CBS in Hollywood, it's The Price Is Right!"

After the first 2 contestants were called, he heard something that made him and Kayla happy.

"Kayla Hampsten, come on down!" When she heard that, Kayla sprinted down the aisle, hugging Robert before she left. Robert then proceeded to start leaning back into his seat until...

"Robert Tomlinson, come on down!"

He calmly jogged down the aisle, all the while, he was imagining someone doing a spit take at the announcement. That was a shocker. As Drew Carey came on the stage, he whispered to Kayla, "Did you do this?"

"Do what?" she whispered back.

"Me being down in Contestant's Row? Did you do that?" He whispered back.

"No, Robbie, I didn't do that. That's a complete shocker to me, also. Hmm." She replied in a truthful tone.

Oh boy, Robert thought to himself sarcastically, this is going to be fuuuuuuun. As soon as he did that, the first prize came out on stage.
