It isn't gibberish per se, but it looks like it since we don't know the language. Same with any foreign language

I guess, probably because it uses a lot of similar looking characters as English. For example if you saw writing in Russian or Japanese you would easily recognize it as another language. Whereas with languages that use the same character types, you can't really tell right away, I had to look it up.

Question (if a mod ever sees this who can answer it): What is the process for finding and deleting spam posts and how does quoting it in an entirely separate thread affect the deletion process?

I don't think it necessarily affects the process, but it becomes another post they (probably) have to end up deleting

Well, my post probably wouldn't have to be deleted. It's not really taking up space like the originals because it's a joke in the General Chat Thread.

If it turns out the process for deleting the posts involves searching for the guy's username or his post contents or something, I'll delete or modify that post for it.

Sorry for DP, but even though I don't care all that often about the NBA, I found fining a team $250k for sitting key players to rest them up for a game against a league-leading team waaaaaaay too stupid. What in the world was David Stern thinking?

It was because of the fans. Heat-Spurs is a really big game, and sitting your best players is a dis-service to everyone who paid for tickets

As I was sliding into bed a few minutes ago, my knee got stabbed by something, and it was bleeding pretty bad. But when I looked for what stabbed me, there was nothing!

On the Spurs thing, I agree with dish. Greg Popovich can coach however he wants with the team! That fine seriously needs to be reviewed.
