Uh...let's go with the Ottawa Congressionals. Yeah, that sounds good...

Ah well, just for craps and giggles, I'll put up the other two, then go to the recaps for the Tampa series.

Mendenhals Break Losing Streak, Shut Out Red Sox

BOSTON, MA - The Mendenhals broke their 2 game losing streak today, defeating the Red Sox by a final of 6-0.

maccrash was spectacular today, pitching 7.1 innings of shutout baseball, while striking out 5. He left after an Ellsbury triple in the 8th.

The scoring for the Mens started right away in the first inning, when Daniel Potter smoked a single to left field to score Adams with one out.

In the fourth, Colton Bartlett hit a single to left field, but due to Ryan Kalish's throw coming in to home plate, he stretched it into a double, scoring Daniel Potter, and giving the Mens a 2-0 lead.

In the sixth, Tim Inidator launched a 3-run HR (6) to the stands in center field to give them a 5-0 lead. It would become 6-0 after Derek Wayne's RBI sac bunt, scoring Bartlett from 3rd after a double, followed by an error to get him to third in his at-bat. That would be all that the Mens needed, winning 6-0.

Red Sox Take Series From Mendenhals, Win 4-3

BOSTON, MA - The Mendenhals lost game 3 of their series with the Red Sox this evening, losing a heartbreaker, 4-3.

Boston starter Aaron Cook was masterful tonight, striking out 15 Mendenhal hitters over 7 innings of work.

The scoring for this game started in the 1st inning, when Adrian Gonzalez launched a 3-run home run into the right field bleachers, giving them a 3-0 lead. It would become 4-0 later, when Cody Ross drove in Will Middlebrooks with a double.

That would be all the scoring the Sox would get in this game, as starting pitcher dishnetkid eventually settled down, and with help from Vernon Brewer, who pitched 3 innings in this one.

The Mendenhals made it interesting in the 8th and 9th innings, starting with a Mitch Anderson single to RF to bring in Derek Wayne to make it 4-1. In the 9th, with closer Alfredo Aceves on the mound, Jack Suezo led off with a single to center field. Daniel Potter would just barely bring him in with a double to straightaway center, as Suezo just beat Jarrod Saltalamacchia's tag at home plate. Potter would then be driven in by Colton Bartlett's double to right field, but then Rich Hill came in and shut the door closed, ending the game.
