NLDS game 3, Scranton leads 2-0
Today's game started off really slow but really picked up in the 4th inning as the Warriors were able to pick up 4 runs off 6 hits to help capture a series winning game 3, 5-2. Durvisuski pitched a 2 run complete game, the warriors second complete game by a pitcher in 3 games. Ryan Braun hit two home runs in today's game, he hit a home run in every game of the series which was needed because Ryan Howard struggled throughout the series and only had one hit. The Warriors now move on to the NLCS as they try to get back to the world series.

NLCS series preview
Scranton Warriors(97-65) VS. Foxborough Lobsters (92-70)

Warriors Lobsters
Team ERA: 2.88 4.15
Team AVG: .271 .265
Team Hits: 1559 1559
Strikeouts: 1502 1049

Scranton Leads season series 11-9.

Last year Scranton faced the Lobsters in the NLCS and pulled a 4 game sweep of the Lobsters as the Lobsters only scored 2 runs in 4 games.

Game 1 Preview
S.Screws VS Oswalt
Last year in game 4 of the NLCS Oswalt pitched a gem and nearly got credit for a no hitter, it was probably the most exciting game of the postseason last year. here is the game recap for that game. "What a crazy game, the warriors were two outs away from getting no hit for the first time ever when Lobsters starter Roy Oswalt finally gave someone a pitch to hit. The score was 1-0 when R.Sweeney finally hit a curveball to center field to give the Warriors a base runner. Xavier Nady followed that up with a RBI double into deep left center field. Carlos Ruiz followed that up with a single of his on to create a corner situation for Gurch, He hit a shallow pop fly into left field, but the way things had been going the warriors decided to take a chance and send the runner at 3rd. With a trip to the world series on the line Xavier Nady went into home plate head first and scored the go ahead run to take a 2-1 lead. Otto Rocket came on to save and gave up one hit while striking out one. Litsch the starter got hurt in the 5th inning and had to come out of the game, he went 4 IP while giving up 5 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 5. Frank Ocean came into the game without warning and pitched great. he went 4 IP while giving up only one hit and striking out 6. The Warriors now advance to the world series." Hopefully the Warriors won't need 8 1/3 innings of outs to get their first hit this year.

Game 1 of the National League Championship Series
R H E
Warriors 0 6 0
Lobsters 4 9 0
(W) Oswalt (L) Seanez

Today's game was a crazy one as the Warriors lose their first playoff game of
the season and now trail in the NLCS 1-0. S.Screws pitched a solid 9 innings of
baseball but Roy Oswalt pitched a lot better. He went 14 innings today allowing
only 6 hits as he got the win today. In the bottom of the 12th Deafface almost
ended the game as he hit a deep shot into right center field. It ended up
bouncing off the top part of the wall and was one of the longest singles the
ball park has ever seen. Seanez came in, in the bottom of the 14th and pitched
terribly, he got the first two outs with ease but then gave up a double ahead of
slugger Jim Thome. with first base open they decided to walk Jim Thome, after
that it just went downhill as the lobsters got hit after hit off of seanez and
scored 4 runs with two outs in the 14th. The Warriors need to start hitting the
ball better if they expect to make it to the world series.

Warriors Line up
1.Ruiz- 1-6, 1 SO
2.Gurch- 0-5, 3 SO
3.Deafface- 2-5
4.Howard- 0-5
5.Braun- 0-5, 2 SO
6.Greene- 0-5, 2 SO
7.Ankiel- 2-5, 2 SO
8.A.Cabrera- 1-5
9.S.Screws- 0-3
Patrick.S- 0-1
Nady- 0-1

Pitchers
S.Screws- 9 IP, 2 H, 7 SO, 0 ER
Patrick.S- 4 IP, 3 H, 6 SO, 0 ER
Seanez- 0 2/3 IP, 4 H, 1 SO, 1 BB, 4 ER Loss
Condrey- 0 1/3 IP, 0 H, 0 SO, 0 ER

National League Championship Series game 2 Preview
Warriors VS Lobsters Lobsters lead series 1-0
J.Oilhands VS Lohse

Jim Oilhands who mid way through the season was in the minor leagues due to a near 5 ERA and terrible pitching, he was pitching so bad that the GM and owner had said that if he didn't improve he would not be with the team next season. With all the pressure on him he pitched great through the 2nd half of the season as he finished the season with a winning record and an impressive 3.03 ERA. Ryan Howard, who has had one hit this whole post season is still going to be batting clean up this game, if he doesn't improve in this game the Warriors might be looking at a 2-0 series lead for the Lobsters and a long shot at getting back into the world series.

Game 2 of the National League Championship Series
R H E
Warriors 3 8 0
Lobsters 0 5 0
(W) J.Oilhands (L) Lohse

Finally the Offense and Pitching showed up on the same day, A trio of home runs
and a complete game shutout by J.Oilhands gave the Warriors a 3-0 win in game 2
of the NLCS. Rick Ankiel started the hitting off by getting a fastball that he
killed in the 2nd inning to make it a 1-0 game. The other two runs came in the
6th inning as Ryan Howard got his 2nd hit of the postseason and it was another
opposite field home run. Ryan Braun followed it with a opposite field shot of
his own, to make it 3-0. J.Oilhands cruised after that and finished the game off
easily. The Warriors are now tied with the Lobsters 1-1 as they head to game 3
of the NLCS.

Warriors Line up
1.Ruiz 0-3, 1 SO, 1 BB

Game 3 of the National League Championship Series(tied 1-1)
R H E
Warriors 7 13 0
Lobsters 8 12 1
(W) Lidge (L) Condrey (SV) B.J. Ryan

In one of the most exciting postseason games ever played, the Warriors fell just
short to the powerful offensive attack of the Lobsters 8-7. Gorzelanny got the
start for today's NLCS game and did not pitch well at all, he gave up 6 runs in
just 4 and 1/3 innings pitched. Ryan Braun however had the game of his life. he
went 4-4 with 4 HR's but just 4 RBI's. Deafface also checked in with 2 HR's and
3 RBI's as all 7 RBI's came off home runs. The Warriors were able to come back
several times in today's game but each time the Lobsters had an answer and just
beat up on the Warriors poor pitching today. The Warriors are now down 2-1 and
are in some serious trouble with Ryan Howard not even being a factor this
postseason.

Warriors Line Up
1.Ruiz 1-5, 1 SO
2.Gurch 2-5, 1 R
3.Deafface 3-5, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R
4.Howard 0-4
5.Braun 4-4, 4 HR, 4 RBI, 4 R
6.Greene 1-4
7.Ankiel 0-4
8.A.Cabrera 0-4
9.Gorzelanny 0-2
Nady- 1-1, 1 2B
Q.Portis- 1-1

Pitchers
Gorzelanny- 4 1/3 IP, 8 H, 1 SO, 1 BB, 6 ER
Riley- 1 2/3 IP, 1 H, 2 SO, 0 ER
Condrey- 2 IP, 3 H, 3 SO, 2 ER LOSS
