My little brother is currently playing CC on Madden '13. He turned auto-start on as the QB for the Jets and every time they call a running play, he audibles to a passing play.

Not only that, but Pence got the offense for them.

We didn't need much offense; it was all small ball. Plus, the Giants gain more advantage as the game wears on, thanks to our edges in the bullpen and on defense, and that's what happened here. Leadoff single, drew a walk off Smyly, then a beautiful bunt single loaded the bases. At that point, even the double play that followed scored a run. That's just how we roll, and that plus an incredible pitching effort (Bumgarner threw only 86 pitches in 7 innings, or just over 12 per) by the starter, then Casilla with a hold and Romo for the save and the win.

And thus we travel to Detroit, Giants up 2-0 but the venue shifting to the road. Will be interesting to see how the Giants perform, given how well they've done both home and away recently.

I don't get it, if there are 33 guests browsing the forum then why don't they join? If there are that many guests in here regularly, then they should join

My hope is that we at least tie up the series in Detroit. Heck, I'll be happy if we take all 3 in Detroit. I'm certainly not inching toward the panic button right now.

You're not even a tad bit worried? They only need two more wins and have shown that they can both defeat the best pitcher in baseball, but the best hitter too. Even if they only win one game in Detroit, they would go back home, up, only needing one more win to clinch the championship

Again, does anybody know?

Is it just me, or is it impossible for any writer to talk about the World Series without citing Detroit's six days of rest (iirc) as a (or even the, in one or two cases) prime reason for their slump?

I think the Tigers have been losing because they can't find their hitting or pitching. And, of course, Panda kicking butt.

For hitting, it's that the Giants have shut down the middle of the order for Detroit, and the bottom of the Tigers' order is pretty mediocre. Plus, we have every little thing going our way, which is especially crucial in games like G2's small-ball-fest. That game was actually a great pitcher's duel (contrary to what you mentioned there) up until the 7th... they should have taken Fister out after the 6th though. The Giants didn't even get a hit for an RBI yesterday: the 7th was Single-BB-F***ing Awesome Bunt Single-RBI DP, and they had a sac fly in the next inning. First time since '86 a team won a WS game without a RBI base hit. It's just fantastic small ball, and the Giants gain advantage as the innings pass, as the game showed.

Game 1 was just not good for the kitties on either end though, I'll say that.

My previous point remains, though, I've read several articles from a few different sources and all of them mention Detroit's rust and how long they were off and all. @_@

Game 2 was a pitchers duel, game 1 certainly was not
