I watched the Hunger Games last night.

I liked it, though I totally don't know what to think of it.

It was constant shaky cam, but I kind of liked it except for the action scenes. It made it feel like someone from District 12 was documenting them.

The acting was top notch. I can't really find a bad performance in there.

The special effects and sets were also top notch. They brought Panem especially the Capitol to life really well.

Now for my problem, it felt like everything was rushed.

I don't think any of the relationships with Katniss were fleshed out well aside from Gale, Prim and Haymitch. There needed to be one or two more conversations with Peeta outside of the arena. I really didn't get what they did with Cinna. It didn't really make sense for her to be hugging him right before the games because they didn't give him and Katniss enough screen time together. Out of everything, Rue was the most rushed. Her death is supposed to constantly haunt her throughout the rest of the series, but Rue was there for like ten minutes.

Overall, I thought it was good. Definitely a good adaption, but room for improvement in Catching Fire.

I absolutely hate the Yankees, but I personally like Jeter. He's stuck with the team his entire career and for much of that was a model of consistency. Plus, he's a good guy, got a good personality, and doesn't have an unnecessarily bloated contract (or ego), and is the true face of the franchise.

That said, go Tigers.

Played Madden 13 yesterday for the first time, on PS3. Had a tournament with 3 friends, who had all played the game before. This was my first time playing '13, and also the first time playing PS3 in almost 6 months. We did random teams, and I got the Dolphins. I was upset at first. One friend got the Browns, another the Vikings, and another was lucky and got the 49ers. Vikings got last place, 49ers third, Browns second, and Dolphins first. Yeah, I went 3-0, and won the tournament. Madden 13 is really fun.
