Well, he's only been injured twice... and football is a team game. Flacco has Rice and an incredible (although aging) defense. Making the playoffs for a QB is like a win for a SP: Their performance helps, but it really comes down to the play of their teammates.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there.

A a team usually has a five man rotation. You also have relief pitchers to come in a lot after the sixth or seventh inning (on average). A quarterback is THE guy every minute of the season. If his performance goes down, the team goes down. It is a quarterback centered league. Now, again, you could say the defense can save a quarterback just like and offense can save a pitcher, but it's really apples to oranges.

Looking at Jaws' list (where Flacco is above Stafford) Cam Newton is below both of them. Last year was the only year where Stafford sustained his success all the way through the season. Cam Newton had a season where he was almost as good as Stafford passing wise. Add in the running and I say Newton is better, but he is in his rookie season so we don't know if it is a fluke.

This is why Peyton Manning was so high on the list even though he didn't play last year. He has proven he is great.

Joe Flacco is pretty much equal with Stafford in my opinion. On this list, experience wins out.
