Who the hell ISN'T following?

I'm guessing PS2 users don't get as much enjoyment out of this as us Wii users.

That day at school, all that was going through Robert's mind was that he would be the youngest GM in not just baseball history, but also sports history. When he got to his 6th block Broadcasting class, he decided to check his e-mail, since Steven said he would send him more information on the team.

He opened up the e-mail from Steven, and saw a link to the website of the team. "They have a website already?" Robert thought to himself, "well, that was quick." He then opened up the team's roster, which almost looked like a Wikipedia article.

While he was looking at this, his girlfriend, Kayla, came up to him. "Whatcha doing, Robbie?" she said.

"Oh, nothing much. Just looking up some information about this new team coming to baseball," Robert replied. What Kayla saw on the computer screen, however, caught her attention.

"Isn't that your school picture on there?"

Robert turned around, and saw the headline on the computer: "16-YEAR OLD ROBERT TOMLINSON TO BECOME GM OF MENDENHALS". He quickly closed the tab on his internet browser, and turned around with a sheepish grin on his face.

"Is there something you'd like to tell me, Robbie?" Kayla inquired. Robert had no choice but to tell her what's going on. He told her what has been going on the past 12 hours, including the fact that he would have to leave the next day.

"That sounds so cool, Robbie," Kayla said, "but it's sad you have to leave. I'm gonna miss you." She then planted a kiss on his cheek, which made Robert feel just a bit better about going to Vancouver, possibly for a very long time.

"We can still Skype each other, right?" Robert aksed. Kayla nodded, and then they both went back to their respective workstations.

Robert stepped off the plane at the Vancouver airport, and was immediately bombarded by the local media. They spouted off a series of questions in rapid succession, such as "Why are you doing this?", "What do your parents say?", and "What about school?". Robert ignored all these questions, deciding that he will answer those questions after the first game of the year.

Steven met him at the doors of the airport, and then whisked him away to the Mark of the Mendenhal, their brand new, multi-million dollar stadium.

"Alright, Mr. GM, I'll take a guess that you've already looked at our roster and lineups. You like them?" Steven asked.

"Yeah, I like them," Robert replied, "they look pretty solid. I think we have a chance to win the World Series this year."

"Really?" Steven asked, puzzled, "we're an expansion team. We'd be lucky to be as good as the Mets in their first season of existence."

Robert was shocked by that statement. "You mean the 1962 Mets, the team that only won 40 games their first season? My god, you are the most pessimistic person I've ever seen. This team is leaps and bounds better than that team of scrubs. Everybody in this lineup is solid. I am guaranteeing a playoff appearance this year, and you will like it."

"Alright," Steven said, "don't be surprised when that blows up in your face." Just then, the intercom started saying that the manager was here to see Robert.

The door then opened, and the manager walked in.

"Hello," the manager said in a voice that almost sounded like a girl's, "you're the new GM, right? I'm Becky Fox, the manager of the Mendenhals. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mister..."

"Tomlinson," Robert replied, stunned that they hired a female manager, "Robert Tomlinson. So, you're the manager?"

"Yep," Becky replied, "I really got into baseball, since my dad is a Major League scout. I took a front office job with the Astros, until they said that they should try me out at manager one day, since they were only drawing 10 people to the stadium on a regular basis. We won my debut, and then I left and joined this team to try to help them out my first season."

Robert thought to himself, "Just because she won one game, makes her qualified as a manager? Ah well, you can't predict baseball." She then said to Becky, "Was anyone else thinking about hiring you?"

"Yes," Becky said, "just one. This other expansion team that joined, the Charlotte Chargers. They had a pretty good team, but this team looks way better on paper. It was a no-brainer."

"Really? I didn't know there was another franchise that was joining. Do we face them at all this year?" Robert asked.

"Yes, we do, but not until the 28th of August. It's weird, we only have two series against them, one there and one here, but both are 4-game series, and both in the span of two weeks." Becky replied.

Robert asked a few more questions, reassuring himself that Becky might be a good manager after all.

"Alright, it's been great to meet you, Becky." Robert said. They both shook hands, and then Robert went to work on calling up agents, asking what their players should be training to start the season. The first game was only a few days away, a home game against the Yankees.

Alrighty, agents, now you can choose what your clients (if you forgot who your client was, check here) want to practice, and who they want to practice with (only the first 3 pairings will be selected, as I will get the Proof of Friendship item from the shop). You can reply in the thread with this info.

Also, I hope you liked this update. The next update will be the first game of the year, against the Yankees.

Will you be starting a spinoff channel to house the games? You can just do the validation through mobile phone OR split them up into parts until your account is able to handle 15+ minute videos.

More than likely, that's what I'm going to do. I'll make a short video on my channel about it.
