We get out an hour and fifteen minutes earlier on Tuesdays.

I get out 1 hour early on Fridays to start the weekend

Ok, cool. What about everyone else? I've been getting out of school an hour early on Wednesday's since, well, forever. I kinda assumed it was the same for everybody, but when I told Brewers he was shocked.

I'm kind of shocked too. This thing never happens with our school.

I have 2 or 3 early release days a year. Das it.

Same here.

I wish I could have an early release one day a week.

I'm sad now.

Well, I guess that would explain why I have a shorter summer

OK, so now that I've been in HS for two weeks, I'm gonna give my thoughts on my classes and HS in general using a scale similar to what Brewers used

1. Algebra II Honors:
Math is SOO easy for me, this class will probably be a cakewalk. So far I've gotten 100's on both my tests and it's been a breeze. I know the material will get harder, but so much of you grade is doing your HW, so as long as I do, I'll be fine. The teacher is nice, but her voice is annoying and she seems to never blink. Not to mention the kids range from two eighth graders up to a few eleventh graders, making it hard to fit in.
2. Personal Fitness:
Definitely not a fan of this class. It's stupid and boring, and I just don't understand the point. Not to mention the teacher is mean and everyone else in the class is annoying.
3. AP Human Geo:
I don't know what to think of this class. So far it's been so easy, but it's bound to get harder. The teacher is very good at actually teaching as she's able to easily find a way to transition between her points, but then bring them all to together at the end. But again, classmates are annoying...
4. Biology Honors:
The teacher is just like the one I had in 7th/8th grade, so that's been good. We have a lot of classwork, but no HW yet, so that's good. Unlike my other classes, my classmates are pretty normal. Plus, about 70% of the students are girls. While that's definitely not a bad thing, it makes working in groups more difficult/awkward.
LUNCH
Most of my good friends are in second lunch, which sucks. And the good friends I have in my lunch sit with the annoying girls who feel the need to always be within 3 feet of each other. But it's lunch, so ya know
5. English Honors:
I hate English, and I hate the teacher! She's so strict with what she wants, so I'm currently riding an F so far. She also seems to want as small a class a possible because she, on multiple occasions, and threatened to kick people out and place them in standard. Bright side, I get to sit next to one of my friends who I haven't seen since Elementary School
6. Spanish II:
I completely suck at speaking Spanish, but I have a good memory, so written tests are easy. The teacher is really nice and the class seems easy. But, like math, the class has all grades in there. So I have like one friend and getting accustomed to other people is much more difficult.
7. Culinary:
The class is so easy! As long as you don't royally screw up, you're basically guaranteed an A. I mean, food+passing=awesome. Plus, the teacher is hilarious

Despite everything above, I really wish I was still in middle school. I was finally starting to get comfortable being myself. But now everything I'm used to his gone. Most of my friends either went to a different school, or changed completely. All of the teachers I'd had for 2-3 years and had gotten used to are gone. I just feel really awkward everywhere. Even worse then in 6th grade when I had no friends at the beginning of the year because all friends from 5th grade either went to a different school or were in standard classes. I'd finally felt confident in myself and who I was with the people I was around towards the end of last year. But now that 9th grade has started, I just feel like that weird nerdy kid.

I've been is Highschool for around 3 weeks now,so I think I can grade my classes already.

1st period : Algebra B-
It's not thats its hard it is just boring.

Walking Period 20 MIN

2nd period : English 1 F
I hate English normally every year,and I really hate my teacher this year.
Lunch 30 MIN

3rd period : Wellness A
We go to the gym in this class 2-3 times a week and do easy book work the other half,only down side is I take this while most of my friends take world history(which I did over summer)
Break 20 MIN

4th period :A+ Science
The class is easy and fun,I just happen to get in trouble alot.

Why does everyone else have more class periods?

How long are your classes? And what is 4th period?

My periods are an hour and 20 minutes.

Ahh, ok. Also, is this your schedule for the first semester, or the whole year?

And isn't 20 minutes between classes a bit excessive!?
