I only took Culinary because all the other choices sucked. And I really hope I ace Human Geo. I'd have bragging rights over all my friends with my GPA over 4 :P

My school system has a crazy amount of course options at our "Career Center" which is where most of the advanced academic and career prep courses are located. The nice thing about the Career Center is you have to have a travel period to get back to your "home" school, and they're always way too long, so you can go get take out or something for lunch.

I've got some fun courses this year. Newspaper, Seminar English II and Civics&Economics, and Acapella Hns. Got some other fun extra curriculars too. Sophomore year could be great.

My high school is an arts magnet. That's not why I go there (its the school I was assigned to based on my domicile {word of the day}), but the school offers several advanced arts courses in many disciplines. These can range from an advanced photography class to a jazz dance class and to the class I'm taking, Acapella. Its basically a chorus class that focuses on songs and arrangements of only vocals. It has honors credit (up to 5 on QPA), which is a nice boost for an arts class.
