We had just arrived back at the hotel after one hell of a night.
"Well, we'll be seeing you tomorrow... Er... later today, at City Hall." Pepper said to me as he walked out the door
"Wait, wha-" I tried to say, but he was gone before I could finish my question.
I guess we're going to City Hall tomorrow, and I've no clue why.
I decided that it was time to call it a night. So, I went back up to my, and had all the players do the same. Apparently, tomorrow's going to be a big day!

Kura and Oda's Room

"Shit dude, that was insane. What was it called again?" Kura asked Oda, as they watched reruns of Hawaii Five-O
"What, the ride? Damned if I know. Ushida said it was something like "Sukarukurasshā." Which, I guess is Skull Crusher. A fitting name, I assume, since that Kennedy guy almost died." Oda responded, not taking his eyes off the TV
Kura had walked into the bathroom at that point.
"Why are you in the bathroom so often? Afraid your hair has one strand out of place?" Oda asked him
"Actually, that's 100% correct, bro. I can't have this beautiful mane out of place. You know that." Kura responded
"Psh, it's not like it's that good. It's got nothing on my luscious locks."
"Oh yeah, how about a bet. Loser has to shave his head!"
"No, we're not doing that again, Kura."
"Yeah, you're right."

The two talked for about an hour, and then went off to bed.

I got the whole team up, and we headed on down to City Hall.
Pepper sent me a text at 5:30, on the dot, saying:

I don't think he remembered my name, but that's okay.

We had arrived by bus to City Hall, and I saw that the Stranglers were already here.
"Good morning, sir." I said to Pepper, who demanded respect
"Good morning to you too, Jack."
I guess he did know my name...

Right at 11:30 the mayor walked out, and waved to the clapping that the crowd and press gave.
He stood at his podium.

"Hello people of Scranton, I, Christopher Doherty, would like to announce to you all that our very own Stranglers will be partaking in a special event soon. What is it, you ask? Well, they'll be taking on the Kyoto Knights of Kyoto, Japan! As it is expected that the game will sell out instantaneously, I would assume that you would want to get your tickets in advance. Please call the ticket hotline to do so. Thank you, and goodnight! Well, afternoon." The mayor said

The press was abuzz, and asked plenty of questions
"Kyoto Knights? Who are they?" A woman by the name of Miss Kate said.
"Kyoto? Where's that?" A man named Dennis O'Leary said
"Why are they playing them?" Jack Swaggert said
"Will the Stranglers win?" Harry Jones said

A dim lot, no doubt.

Anyways, I noticed that the players were all chatting amongst each other.

WildThing: I can't believe that that damn Dem's been in office for 10 years now. You know, I'm a Republican.

Chris: Yes, we know. But, come on now, you haven't voted in ages. We all know. You just spend your time now smoking kush.

Ushida: Kush? What in the world is kush?

Brian: You dolt. Weed, dope, marijuana, cannabis. Whatever floats your boat.

Ushida: Oh, jeez. Sorry. I'm not accustomed to your American slang.

Pablo: Don't worry about it man. These guys are all crazy. We tend to not listen to them.

Mark: It's true. If we didn't have good ol' Jorkins and Pepper, everyone would've managed to kill themselves at some point.

Kura: Oda, how's my hair looking?

Oda: As, what was it, "Bieber" as ever.

Kura: What the hell is a Bieber?

Oda: Sounds like a fish or something.

Ringo: Bieber's nothing good, let me tell you, mate. Don't dive into the subject, you don't want to know.

Kura: Okay. But-

Ringo: Nope!

Kura: Okay...

Off to the side, John was talking with a woman.

John: Man, those shoes you've got there are horrendous. But, you sure can pull those off, baby.

Woman: ...

John: Mute, eh? Well, what if I told you, I started a fi-

Paul: Hey Johnny. What's going on?

John: Excuse me, but I'm serenading a woman.

Paul: Not very well, apparently, there isn't a woman here.

There wasn't a woman there.

Mick: Your ugly asses scared her off!

The Knights watched these three bicker at each other.

Kurihara: What are they saying Ushida?

Ushida: Apparently, they have ugly asses.

Oda: Nasty.

Good job.

Loved the part with Pepper not knowing his name. And the Kura/Oda stuff and the argument between John, Paul and Mick at the end.

Stranglers and Knights Play First Game of Exhibition Series

Today, the series that pits our beloved Scranton Stranglers against the unknown Kyoto Knights, started off with a pitcher's duel. This duel had Paul McCartney going against the Knights pitcher Hyama.

The Knights scored the first run in the top of the third. Reiza singled, with Hyama following with a sacrifice bunt. Reiza moved to second and Oda drove him in with a single.

The Stranglers came back in the bottom half of the inning with a 456 foot solo blast from Keith Richards. George Harrison followed with a single. McCartney sacrificed him to second setting up a Ringo Starr RBI double putting the Stranglers ahead 2-1.

Pablo Sanchez hit a 462 foot home runin the sixth giving the Stranglers much needed insurance.

The Knights looked like they could have tied the game in the ninth with a runner on second and Masato Kurihara at the plate, but with righty Brian Wilson on the mound, Kurihara was pinch hit for Terauchi. Brian Wilson wrapped it up with a save.

It's done that twice in a row now. In my screw up game and this one. When the series shifts and the DH is on, he'll probably play the whole game.
