Yeah, stick to just Yamato. There's no point in giving up too many players.

Will you still have 5 starters if you trade Shima and Yamato? If not, do you know if you can pick up a decent one from free agency? Try to push it through with just Yamato, and if you can't do it without definitively breaking your rotation, let it go.

I have someone in my back pocket, so the Shima thing may end up working out fine.

"Okay," I said to myself "I know that I hate to get rid of players, but I think that this would be the best option. Preston has been talking to me about his trip to America, and his sighting of a pitcher. So, he could replace Shima."
Upon thinking of this reasoning, I came to my decision.

I called the Carp's GM
"Hello?" He said
"Hey, it's Jack."
"Oh, hey Jack, have you considered my offer?"
"Yes. And I think that it will work. But, just to be sure, what was it again?"
"Excellent! It's Shima, Yamato, Matsunaga, Tohno and Ohtonari for Maeda."
"Okay. Great! Good doing business with you, sir."
"Same to you, I'll speak with you again in February!"
"Talk to you then."

He hung up, and I pondered on how and when I'm going to tell the players they'll be leaving...

I decided that it would be best to wait until February to tell my players about the trade.

But, that's beside the point.

My phone rang, it was an obnoxious awakening for a sleeping me.
I trudged over to the table my phone was on.
"...whrat?" I managed to mumble out
"NOW YOU LISTEN HERE, MAGGOT." A loud voice said in response, I dropped my phone
I picked it back up
"Jesus, who is this?"
"WELL, I'M NONE OTHER THAN THE GREATEST MAN EVER. Sargent Pepper, is the name. Winning is my game." he said, lowering his voice, finally.
"Okay. Why are you calling me?"
"We, the Scranton Stranglers, of Scranton, Pennsylvania, would like to invite your Knights to a World Series game, WHICH WE ARE IN, AND ARE GOING TO WIN We're in it to win it, you know."
"Wow, really? You know, I've never heard of the Stranglers before..."
"WHAT'S THAT?"
"I've... uh... never heard of your team before."
"WELL, AIN'T IT OBVIOUS? WE RESIDE IN DIFFERENT GAMES, therefore, we are from different universes."
"Oh, of course. Wait, hold on, how are you contacting me, then?"
"I am a man of magic...

WELL, I'LL BE EXPECTING TO SEE YOU SOON, ABOUT A WEEK?"
"Uh, yes sir!" I said, and found myself standing at attention.

He hung up.

I called a mandatory meeting for my players, scheduled for this afternoon.

Everyone filtered into the locker room.
"Alright everyone, I've got some big news." I said
I scanned the room, and saw some eager eyes
"Are you all ready?"
"Dude, just get out with it!" Kura shouted
"Alright, alright. Well, this morning, I received a call from someone I've never heard of before. And, he invited us to go and see a World Series game!"
"World Series?! Really?" Kurihara asked
"Yes! Really!" I replied
"But, wait, hold on a second," Ushida started "how do you know that this guy's telling the truth?"
"He's wired me the money needed for all the tickets. Apparently, we're going to be the highlighted guests. It's supposed to help the MLB get a broader audience."
"And, he's told you this directly?" Fujii added
"Uh.. Well... No. Not exactly. BUT ANYWAYS, we're going to the World Series. We'll be leaving on Halloween. Alright? Alright."
"Yes sir!" everyone said in unison.
"Hunh, must be the new thing going around." I thought to myself.

I left, and went out to get some groceries.

Our flight was to take off in half an hour, the whole team was in tow, and them damn photographers were going insane.

Our flight was called over the speaker.
We all got up, and made our way over to the gate.

Once we got on, I said "Hopefully everyone's here, because we aren't waiting."
And, luckily, everyone was accounted for. We were off!

The pilot came on, "Expect a little turbulence coming up, there's a storm ahead."
The little "buckle seat belt" light came on, and we all did so.

We flew in, felt a little turbulence, like the pilot said.
"Well, that wasn't too ba-" I started
Just then, the plane's left most engine burst into flames.
"Shitshitshitshitshitshitshit." I thought to myself
"Don't worry everyone, this is all going according to plan." The pilot said
"What do you mean?! The damn engine just exploded!" Kurihara yelled out

Just then, we entered a freefall.
Everyone was screaming.
And a beautiful luminescence covered the plane. It was quite the sight, really. A beautiful mesh of color floating all around us.
"Wow..." Kanazawa said as he looked out his window

The screaming stopped as everyone gazed out the window, looking at the beauty that we were falling through.

The plane came to a safe landing at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

"What in the hell...?" I said to myself

We all got off the plane, and were met by a man who looked to be part of the army.

"Good afternoon, Kyoto Knights, and welcome to Pennsylvania."

That was the most intense *(censored)* of a dialogue I've ever read
