Definitely give him Dr. K, Durability, and possibly VS Runner 4. Also: "Ironically, his lack of control often helped him intimidate hitters and probably increased his strikeout totals." Intimidator could MAYBE fit with him. Possibly Star too, since he was an 8-time all-star. Heck, even gyroball could work for his legendary fastball. Don't go for all of them, though. Just go for whatever you're comfortable getting.

One more thing: He was signed when he was only 17, so you ought to make him as young as possible (19) when you're done.

How far back are you going for relievers? Maybe you could consider Tom Henke? (played for the bluejays in the early 90's.

For short stop you could have went Cal Ripken Jr known for both offence and defence. Tom Henke isn't a hall of famer?? I'm not sure. But his stats would be:

top speed 95
control: 150
stamina: 50

Splitter 5
Slider 2

Some articles will mention the splitter as a forkball. He had the nickname of terminator. So intimidator is a must, Gd STR Finisher, consistency 4, Dr K, star and don't forget the funky glasses he wore in a time when contacts were starting to come in fashion.

Another pitcher could be Dennis Eckersley of the A's but again I'm not sure if he is a hall of famer I would need to check.
