This sentence is awesome.

Mainly because Howard and McCartney are my clients. :)

Stranglers Beat Dodgers 3-2; Advance to NLCS

The Stranglers won today with a great pitching performance from Darvish. Johan Santana pitched well for the Dodgers, but just couldn't get it done.

In the third inning, John Lennon came to the plate and hit a double. Keith Richards singled and John Lennon scored. On the throw home Keith made a heads-up move and advanced to second. That set up George Harrison to drive in Richards making it 2-0.

The score stayed the same until the top of the ninth when Pablo Sanchez hi a solo shot making it 3-0.

It was a good thing he hit that homer because Wilson almost blew the save giving up back-to-back home runs to Andre Ethier and Kevin Youkilis. He closed it out after that and sent the Dodgers packing.

WP: Yu Darvish
LP: Johan Santana
SAVE: Brian Wilson
MVP: Pablo Sanchez

Brewers Beat Stranglers 2-1

Today was just bad for the Stranglers offense. Where has it gone? Charlie Brown faced Yovanni Gallardo today.

In the first inning, Brian Roberts led off with a double. Mile Cameron followed with an RBI triple and Braun knocked him home with a double.

In the next inning the Stranglers scored a run. Keith Richards and George Harrison hit back to back doubles. Sadly, that was all the Stranglers could produce.

Stranglers Stats
Sanchez: 0-5 2 K
Starr: 2-5 1 2B
Kennedy: 0-4 1K
Howard: 0-4 1K
Jagger: 1-4 1K

Richards: 1-3 2B R K BB
Harrison: 1-4 2B RBI 2K
Brown: 0-1 BB
McLeary: 0-1 K

WP: Gallardo

In the top of the ninth, Prince Fielder homered making it 7-1.

Okay, you've got a lead in the series. Wilson has pitched okay, and Pablo did bad the first game, well the second, and don't know about the third.

Player Update

The Stranglers were in Milwaukee when it was announced that once free agency started, the best players could skip the draft and sign with a team immediately. (I am putting my Success players for other teams to sign in the season).

Joey Yost: Mr. Goldman! Did you hear that announcement?! We need to sign some of those players!

Goldman: No. We are not signing any of those players. It'll lose me money! My name is GOLDman. If I lost money I would have to take Gold out of the name and I would just be Man. How would you feel if you were just a man?

Yost: I don't know, sir, but those players could really-

Goldman: Sh-sh-sh shut up. Tom and Jerry is on.

Yost: Sir, we have to talk about the team.

Goldman: ...

Yost: Sittch, pleeease persuade Goldman into getting a player or two in the offseason.

Sittch: Sush shh shut up! I need to know who wins!

Yost: What the hell?! It's freaking Tom and Jerry! Jerry always wins! That's how it goes!

Sittch and Goldman: Dammit, man! You just spoiled the whole episode!!!! Be gone!

Yost: Am I the only logical one on this team???

The Players: May we be of assistance?

Yost: What is there to lose? I guess so. Okay so there is this guy named Captain Crush. He used to be a police captain. Anyway, he throws a variation of the knuckleball.

Paul: Ha! No one can throw a better knuckleball than me!

Yost: Want to see a video? I'll show you his knuckleball.

He showed them a video of a knuckler breaking across the screen as the hitter swung out of his shoes.

Pablo: Whoah whoah. Wait. Zoom in on the batter. He looks familiar.

He did so. It turned out to be Ryan Howard. Arguably the best hitter on the team.

Ryan looked embarrassed.

Mick: I would laugh, but I am scared now.

The others seemed to agree.

Yost: Here's Nick Price.

Chris: Wait? Nick Price? The front man of Acid Pain?!

Yost: The very same.

They all cracked up.

Mick: A front man? Playing baseball?! Oh my God, that is the silliest thing I've ever heard! (Heh. See the irony? :P )

Yost: He throws a 101 mph. fastball and an original variation of a screwball.

Mick: Yeah. You're funny man.

Yost: You won't be laughing when we have to face him. Anyway, next player. Mr. X

John: Hey! That's the guy who took over Pepper's job at the White House and humiliated him.

Pepper: Arrrrgh!

Pepper dropped down from the ceiling and knocked John Lennon out.

Pepper: He'll get up. Anyway I heard my name.

Yost: Uh, yeah. Mr.

Pepper: Yeah, no. Don't sign him. Ever. I hate him we have to crush him.

Yost: Yeah he's pretty-

Pepper: No. He is nothing. I have no respect for him. On to the next player. Goodbye.

Smoke popped up and he disappeared.

Yost: Aaaanyway, there's this guy named Bruce Wayne.

The Players: Wahhahaha! His parents were the ultimate trolls.

Keith: Do his friends call him Batman?

Yost: Yes, actually.

The Players: Hahahaaha! Where's Robin?

Yost: Well there is a guy named Dick Grayson.

The Players just stared.

Yost: Well, guys. That'll be it. Man I wish you owned the team.

Ringo: C'mon, that could never happen!

George (not the gangster) : Or could it?

Mick and Reg would definitely be willing to pitch in to buy the team.

Sorry, I didn't think that many people would get it. I was so close to not putting it in there.
