And That's It

Last night, at Yamanote Stadium in Sakai, the Samurais beat the Knights 7-4. In doing so, they've finally won they're first championship, beating the Knights in the series 4-1! Congratulations to them! "Finally, I've beaten my brother!" Stephen Allen, GM of the Samurais said after the game, Samurais manager, Kazumu Mori, brother of Knights' manager, Kensou, agreed with these sentiments.

Congrats to the Samurais, Japan's 2016 champions!

- Takaharu Sonada

Yay! I was rooting for the Steven. He is the neglected brother of the Allen family. Maybe Mr. and Mrs. Allen will finally love their sons equally! Just kidding. I don't actually know if Steven is neglected, but I kind of get that vibe.

To be honest, I was too. :P

Stephen isn't neglected, he's just... Not as good at things as Jack...

I picked up my phone, and to my surprise, it was the Carp's GM.
"Yes, Jack, you see, you have some players that I think would benefit us. And, also, you see, we're looking to trade Maeda."
My jaw dropped, I was at a loss for words.
"Uh... w-who would you like?"
"Well, Maeda won't come cheap."
"As expected."
"I'm thinking that a 4 for 1 deal should suffice."
"Four?! Well, um, who were thinking of?"
"Matsunaga, Shima or Yamato, but preferably Yamato, Tohno, and Ohtonari for Maeda. How's that sound to you?"
"Well, I'll have to call my people and get back to you on this one."
"Fair enough. Jack, I hope you will make the right decision!"
And with that, I hung up.

I have to call the guys.

So, guys, what do you think?

Matsunaga
Shima/Yamato
Tohno
Ohtonari

FOR

Kenta Maeda
AGE, YEARS PRO, B/T, TOP SPD, CON, STAM, PITCHES
25, 7, R/R, 155 km/h (96 mph), A, A, slider - 4, slow curve - 3, circle change - 2
Last season: 2.92 ERA, 13-7 with 176 K

Should we?

I mean, we were going to get rid of Matsunaga and Ohtonari anyways, I think that this is a good deal.

My only problem is Yamato, I don't think I want to get rid of him. And he seems to want him more than Shima... What do we do?

Also, note that this trade won't occur until February.

Well, it seems like a good offer. Think about it.

I haven't been following the whole time, so I don't know all the players stats as of now, but I say go for it. It's basically Tohno and Yamato for Maeda. In the finals, your issue was pitching. So your basically upgrading your ace for a decent second baseman. Go for it

Are you saying it's wrong to talk to a bag of Skittles? Because if so, I'm going to need to rethink a lot of things. :P

I was about to say, "No, then I would have to edit the rosters again" ,but then I saw that it doesn't happen until February. So yeah, do it.

The thing is though, Yamato's a pretty good pitcher, and he can hit too.

But, yeah, I see your point.

Yeah, Maeda's easily one of the best pitchers in Japan.

Okay, I think that I'm going to do this.

I'll have to edit the Knights roster if we do this, but if the trade goes down, who will replace the players we will be giving up? I'll say yes now, but my opinion may change.

Well, for Matsunaga, the replacement will be Xiao Zenigata, who will be drafted come December.

Xiao Zenigata - OF
AGE, 2ND POSTION, B/T, TRJ, CON, POW, RUN, ARM, FLD, E RES
18, 1B, L/L, 3, A, B, B, B, D, D

Tohno doesn't have one, but I don't think that that will be that much of a problem.

Maeda will replace Yamato.

On a personal level, Maeda has been my favorite NPB pitcher ever since starting a Carp franchise with him as their ace in the 2010 installment of the series.

If you're going to lower the possibility of one of the guys I made pitching for the Knights, at least it'll be Maeda who does so.

Go for him! He helps the team immensely.

Since mac's answer won't matter (I'm sure he'll say yes anyways)...

October 22, 2016

I called back the Carp's GM
"Hello?" he said
"Hey, it's Jack. I would like to take you up on your offer."
"Excellent! Oh, and by the way, I would actually like both Shima and Yamato. If that's alright with you, of course."
"Uh... Hold on. Let me contact my people again..."
"Okay."
He hung up

Does this change anything?
Poll question!

EDIT: Nevermind, every time I tried, every answer was no... Guess the site doesn't like it.

I say just Yamato (though I do like the level 5 pitches)
