First let me say that im new the the forum. Second i'm new to this serious and the only reason I bought this game was because of the fun I had with my japanese baseball import I had on my N64. That is the reason I gave this game a chance and let me tell you I'm glad I did. I've only been able to get 3 games in but im loving it.

On to my questions.

1. Is it worth getting the HD cables for the WII(will it make PP08 look any better?)

and

2. What are the best settings to get the best challange and get somewhat realistic stats?

I look forward to getting to know the guys in the forum and plan being an active poster.

Thanks

I don't believe getting the HD cables for THIS GAME only is the answer. You'll want HD cables for some of the more graphically aggressive games. On the whole however, Wii games aren't that graphically intense... (I'd put Zelda and a few others up there). I'd put a small caveat though, since I don't use HDTV and cables for my Wii (though my friend does, and I only see a small improvement in sharpness).

Difficulty? Depends on your gaming skillz. Anywhere from Expert to All-Star (powerful seems a bit out of my reach right now) for the various abilities.

I really suck at batting, bad at fielding (but tolerable), and rock at pitching and stealing bases, so I skew it to compensate.

Right now? CPU - All-Star Batting (Normal = lock on 0), Expert Pitching (Normal = lock on 0 for me), All-Star Running and Fielding. No strike zone, Ball marker and spin viewed, fly ball indicator on (I'd have it off if I was watching from the fielder's POV).

For reference, for 2007, I lasted used Powerful Batting and Running, All-Star Fielding, and Expert Pitching, same indicators as above.

Not really, the max resolution for any Wii game is 480p.
