The Lions have just made a trade with the Hawks to bring over the young power hitter, Tatsuru Takamiya, for some points. He will be inserted into the DH spot immediately.

Tatsuru Takamiya - OF
AGE, 2ND POSTION, B/T, TRJ, CON, POW, RUN, ARM, FLD, E RES
24, 1B, 3, C, A, A, F, F, F

Great, now we'll have to face him... But he should be a big help to the struggling Lions' offense.

At the end of the season (possibly) will you post ability updates?

Knights Bats Win It!

Image
Image – Takuya Kanazawa

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – What a game this one was! The Knights started off on the wrong foot, falling behind early, with a solo homerun by Shimazaki, who has really been on a tear this season, batting .358, with 35 homeruns and 80 RBI. He’s really showing that last year wasn’t a one time thing, what with his 50 or so homeruns. The Samurais could’ve made their lead a much bigger one in that same inning, but with 2 on and 2 out, Shen got Sugiya to strike out looking on a fastball up and in to end the threat. Luckily for the Knights though, in the bottom half of the same inning, Kurihara hit a solo shot over the left field fence to tie the game up at 1!

And in the next inning, Kanazawa gave the Knights a 2-run lead with a 2-run homerun! Kurihara then hit one, with them going back-to-back yet again!

Also, at the end of the game, as the Knights were leading by 4 runs, the newest addition to the team, Naohiko Kikuchi made his first appearance. Letting up 2 hits after a questionable dive by Oda, he otherwise made it through the inning without any problems, not letting up a run. After the game he spoke, and said, “What of my performance? I did well, didn’t I? Why do you question me?”

Oh… Okay…

As I woke up in my office, after falling asleep on my desk, I pondered on the thought of us having an alternate uniform we could wear on weekends.
I called up our uniform guy, and we came up with this: Image

15:33

The players started coming in, and I was eager to show them the new uniforms, so I called a meeting.
I pulled out the old projector, brought up the slide with the new uniforms, and...
"Gentlemen, may I introduce you to the new White Knight Uniforms!"
They looked like they liked it.
Well, hopefully they like it, since they'll be wearing it on weekends.

15:56

I went back into my office to look over the day's lineup, and while I was sitting, someone dressed in a collared white shirt, khaki shorts, and a pair of headphones only covering one ear waltzed into my office.
"Uh... Who're you? And how did you get in here?" I asked him
"Oh, uh, me? My name is Jun Seba. I'm here to get everyone through their days."
"I'm sorry?"
"I'm assuming the role of team 'Relaxer'."
"I don't think that that exists..."
"Man, let me tell you something, live life with no regrets, always be accepting of death, as it can happen at any time. And also, always follow your dreams, since you never know, you just may not be here tomorrow, my dude."
I was astonished that this man just walked in and gave me such advice, it really made me think.
"Well, Jun, I think that you just might fit in excellently here. I'll introduce you to the players."
"Thanks man, I'll make sure I make the most out of my stay. I'll help out in any way I can."
"Awesome."
"Oh, and hey, Jack."
"Yeah?"
"Did I tell you that I can also do some DJing, just in case you ever need one, I'll gladly take you up on it."
"Well, that sure is a plus, I'll keep that in mind."
"Alright, cool, talk to you later dude."
"Bye."
And with that, he walked out as quickly as he walked in.

What he said really resonated with me. I guess I have been fearing death, and I do have regrets (damn me for not saying yes that one time...). I'm living my dream, so I guess I'm following that. But why did he come here? And, why does the name Jun Seba sound familiar to me?

Knights Win In Extra Innings!

Image – Mitsuo Reiza

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – Wow, what a game this one was. It had my heart racing the entire way through. It was an uphill battle for the Knights from the very start, as the Samurais took an early lead, with Shimazaki hitting a 2-run homerun in the top half of the 2nd. But, the Knights got a little ground with an RBI single by Kura in the bottom half of that same inning.

Nothing else really happened until the 6th.

In that inning, the Samurais took advantage of a missed dive by Ushida, with Fujita getting a standup RBI triple, and right after him, Shimazaki blasted a 2-run homerun over the center field wall. The Knights would also score in that inning, with an RBI single by Shimozono, who went 5-5 yesterday, with 4 singles, a double, and an RBI! He commented, saying, “I saw the ball well today, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten 5 hits in one game! But, hey, most of them were singles, so I think that you should probably be talking to Kurihara, or Kanazawa. Actually, no, you guys should be talking to Reiza!”

Kura drove in another run in the 7th.

In the 8th, Oda made a costly error, allowing 2 runs to score, thus making the score 7-3. It looked like it was over at that point, but in the bottom half of the inning, Oda came up to the plate and hit one way over the center field wall, landing on the road behind the stadium! “I needed to redeem myself” Oda said. And that he did, as with his 2-run homerun, he negated the effects of his error!

The Knights were still down 7-5 come the 9th inning. Ushida and Kura both grounded out for a quick 2 outs. Then Kanazawa came up, who was 0-4 prior to this at-bat. On a sinker, he hit an absolute bomb to left, over the wall, shrinking the lead to just 1 run! The very dangerous Kurihara then came up to the plate; surely Hoashi couldn’t let up another homerun, could he? Well, that he did. Kurihara hit one over the center field fence, tying the game at 7!

Kikuchi held the Samurais to a 1-2-3 top of the 10th.

And then came the bottom of the 10th, Oda grounded out, Shimozono hit a double, Fukuchi grounded out, but advanced Shimozono to third. This brought up Reiza, with 2 outs and a runner at third. On the first pitch, he was way late, the second pitch was a slider away, he took it right back up the middle, and the Knights won! “I have been struggling this year, no doubt. But, he threw me a good pitch, and I hit it right back at him. God, it was awesome!”

Also, the Knights debuted their new "White Knight" uniforms tonight. It seems to have given them some serious luck!

Man, Techer got roughed up a bit there. I kinda hope he rebounds by his next outing.

Yeah, but actually, he did pretty well.
If I hadn't dove with Ushida in the 6th, he would've stopped the ball.
And then who knows what would've happened!
