Story for Choice A:
Nicholas: I think I'm going to start today. I'm not feelin' in right now, but I know once I get on that field, I'll start feeling the competitive juices flowing.

Javier: That's the spirit man. That's just how I'll feel. You mind if I throw some lasers?

Nicholas: Whatever you need man.

Javier and Nicholas warmed, Nicholas being calm and collected and Javier throwing seeds to get his arm loose. After throwing, the team hit some wiffles. After hitting wiffle balls, Nicholas snuck a peak at the line up card and discovered he was going to be batting lead-off starting at shortstop.

Nicholas: Hey Javier I'm starting!

Javier: You always start man. Get over it!

Nicholas: Well you're Mr. Supportive aren't you?

Javier: I try.

After doing an infield outfield drill to get them warmed up for fielding, Nicholas's coach brought them all in for a pep talk.

Coach: Today is our day guys. Today is when we crush those ballplayers from Oakland High. For some of you guys, it's your last game at this school. You know that there will be some scouts watching your every move so leave everything on the field. Hands in. Nicholas, lead it off.

Nicholas: Titans (team name) on three, Titans on me! One, two, three!

All: Titans!

And with that the Titans ran out onto the field to get this game underway. The first couple of innings stayed short and quick. Both teams didn't have a hit until the bottom of the fourth when Nicholas connected with a lead-off double, but was unable to come home after the heart of the order was struck out on a total of nine pitches.

In the top sixth inning, Oakland started cooking up a recipe for the games first run. Javier had allowed a bloop single to the lead off hitter and allowed him to swipe second on a questionable call by the umpire. Javier got the next two runners out, but now he had to face their heafty fourth place hitter. He stood at gigantic 6'4. He had hit two lasers that were caught by the Titans left fielder, just missing the wall by a couple of feet. Nicholas also saw that he was pulling the ball a lot. He told his second baseman, Brandon, to watch the second base runner so he could move back into the six hole.

The first pitch deliver by Javier was struck very far into the six hole on the ground. Nicholas ranged over and made a fantastic diving catch to prevent a run. The runner on second was halfway to third and their hitter was about a fourth of the way down the line. Remember that Nicholas doesn't have the strongest arm.
