1. Copy/Paste to Excel
2. Highlight column A
3. Click: Data/Text to Columns
4. Click Delimited/Comma (space for the hitters update)
5. Finish

When some of you write how do you determine abilities what do you mean? Would you like me to show what I look for in determining abilities?

These are some useful sites I use besides fangraphs. Others I may use are you can google milb with the players name (those who are yet to play in the majors), baseball cube (mainly for the running speed levels and patience level for batters). Also when finding a scouting report through google, I type the name of player, scouting report, then fastball and other pitches I know the pitcher throws. also if some pitchers overhead his curve may be a 12-6 curve so you could type that into google.

Also Baseball reference for major league stats then go to splits which will give you specific stats.

I will do a pitcher for example:

How bout Houston's recent call up Dallas Keuchel

So I look at his baseball reference page. I see from today he has played 3 games (20 innings). Hardly a good pool of games to decide his stats by. So I look at his minor leagues page. He has a BB/9 of 1.7 this season at AAA but an overall at AAA level of 2.1 BB/9. And he's been consistent through his career. So I decided to assign him a control of 150 (equal to a BB/9 of 3.0 according to Eric's control conversion) this is becuase most players will regress a bit when they ascend up from the minors. His HR/9 is quite good. If it were above 1 I would be looking at a scouting report to see if its becuase the pitcher is hittable, his fastball is straight as an arrow (fastball life 2), he's breaking balls lack movement or he is slow to get started and into rhythm (slow starter) or gets hit after the 5th inning (choke artist). Back to Keuchel I look up a scouting report http://www.minorleagueball.com/2012/6/2 ... ing-report which tells me that his fastball is 88-89 and he has a curve and change. So for him because he has played in the majors I look up fangraphs. We see his curve ball is -0.1 in horizontal movement (not alot of movement), but his vertical drop his -6.1 so it resembles a 12-6 curve plus because it is thrown at 71.5 mph 19mph slower than the fastball it can be classified as a 12-6 curve. The changeup has positive horizontal movement an is thrown at 76.3. I called it a CCGH. One other site I looked at is http://seedlingstostars.com/2011/06/23/ ... s-keuchel/ which often I find useful. It notes a slider, but contrary to what other reports say is notes his curve and slider as mediocre with his change the best pitcher others note the curve.

Fangraphs. With regard to the movement on the pitches. The 12-6 curve (DCB) I would rate a 1-2. The circle-change I rated 3. He has a two seam and due to his groundball tendencies I gave it a 2. His fastball is 90, roughly it can be 2-3 mph more than the range they give you. The slider has more vertical movement so I mentioned it as a vertical slider rated 2. His lefty splits are pretty bad so I'd go lefty 1 due to the difference (thats if your editing players and not going through success). Although he has good W/RISP numbers I didn't give him these abilities as I feel I need to see more of him in the majors plus you would expect his play to regress the more innings he pitches. Check pitch counts as this will also tell you when during the game early, middle or late innings where that pitchers pitches well or poor. But I think this is a good start. Innings pitched look at game log on baseball reference roughly 1 inning pitched equals 20 in stamina but control and good/poor abilities play a role too but Eric knows more in that regard. Anything more just let me know.
