McCartney Pitches Another Complete Game at Wrigley

Well, Paul McCartney is inching even closer to the completengame record. Today he faced off against Ted Lilly while, despite having a 7-14 record, he is still a tough matchup.

The Stranglers got on the board in the second when Ryan Howard seizedncontrol of the home run race with a solo shot. In the third, when Pablo Sanchez hit a solo shot of his own. The score was 2-0, Scranton. The Stranglers scored again in the sixth with Mick Jagger reaching on a double. John Lennon then hit his 27th homer ofthe year to make it 4-0.

The Cubs finally got to McCartney in the bottom half of the sixth with Alfonso Soriano doubling into the left center field to lead off. Rhan Theriot followed with a double of his own amd Derek Lee brought Theriot home with another double. The score was 4-2 and it would stay that way.

It was all peachy keen from there with Paul striking out 18 Cubs.

WP: Paul McCartney 14-5
LP: Ted Lilly 7-15
MVP: Paul McCartney

Paul is ecstatic, as his 18 Ks put him at exactly 300 for the season.

He posts flyers across Scranton advertising awareness for his MVP run, and also posts a video on YouTube doing the same thing à la Chris Bosh.

If Paul wins MVP in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if on the news it forcasted snow in July amd flying pigs discovered that hell froze over. Not that he isn't doing great, it's just that the CPU is so narrow minded when it comes to stuff like this.

Ryan has a much better shot at it, although, I think Kennedy will win.

No, I think Chris "Ryan" Snelling will win MVP, reliever of the year: Jordan Tata, ROTY: Echevarria.

Stranglers Capture Division Crown

Today was a very special day. Not just because the Stranglers clinched today, but it was 9/11. After honoring all who died on this day in 2001, the teams were ready to play ball. Paul McCartney was up against Sean Marshall.

In the first, Ringo Starr reached base. Kennedy then doubled off the wall with Starr going to third. Howard scored Starr on a sac fly. Mick Jagger homered making it 3-0. The next inning George Harrison hit a solo home run. Paul tripled and Sanchez hit a double to bring him home. Kennedy then hit a homer making it 7-0. It tied him with Ryan Howard for the league lead at 44.

The only run from the Cubs came when Mark DeRosa reached base on an infield single. Two batters later, Kousuke Fukudome drove DeRosa in with a sac fly.

The Stranglers scored again on another double by Kennedy making it 8-1 Stranglers. Paul finished off the game with 1 ER, 1 BB and 10 K's.

Paul McCartney has now broken the record for complete games in a season. Congratulations to him.

WP: Paul McCartney 15-5
LP: Sean Marshall 1-4
MVP: Kennedy

Another homer for Mick!

McLeary: Why is he starting ahead of me? I swear, I'm MUCH better and more popular.
Mick: Aw, shut up! I'm in cause I'm better!

The two of them would stay up all night arguing.

...Until Chris came in, pointed out that he was better than both of them, and left.
