Heh heh. AnthonyP, I'm guessing your tenure as scout is over with PPJ being back and all. That's kind of a bummer that you got one update.

I could be a second scout to scout more players at once.

"I'm going to have to say that we should go ahead and pick up this kid now, when we have the chance." I said
"I agree sir." Mark replied
"Alright, I'll go and call him now, what's his number?"
Mark gave me his number, and I went into my office to make the call.

The phone only rang once before he picked up.
"What?" he said
"Hi, uh, Kikuchi?" I replied, caught off guard by his abrupt answering.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Well, um, this is the GM of the Knights, Jack Allen. We've been looking at you for a little while now, and we think that it would be incredibly beneficial to the team if you were to join. How does it sound?"
"Sure."
"Oh, well, uh, okay. Excellent! I'll expect you at the field tomorrow."
"Okay."
"Alright, b-" and he hung up.

Hm... I would've expected a kid to be ecstatic to get onto an NPB team...

Well, no matter, we've just signed ourselves an excellent set-up man!

Knights Finish Off The Sweep!

Image
Image – Kurihara and Shima

Tokyo Dome, Tokyo – With this win, the Knights have extended their incredible winning streak to an astonishing 11 games! The Knights had this one since the very beginning, with Kurihara getting them off on the right foot, hitting an absolute bomb to center for a 2-run homerun. And when I say bomb, I mean it, Kurihara’s homerun went 159 meters (521 FEET)! Unbelievable how much power this kid holds. We spoke to him after the game about this homerun in particular, as he also hit 2 more, accounting for 4 of the team’s 6 runs. “Really, I didn’t think that it would just keep going. When I saw the estimated distance on the score board, I was just as shocked as the rest of you! I guess I got all of it, eh?” he said. And I would say that he surely did get “all of it.”

In the next inning, the Knights added onto their lead with a sac bunt by Fukuchi to get the runners on to 2nd and 3rd. Then, right after that, the pitcher, Shima, drew a four pitch walk. And following him was the switch hitting Ushida, who chose to bat right-handed, versus the right-handed Sawamura, and hit a fly ball deep enough to center to get the run in, making the lead 3-0. The other 3 runs would come off of homeruns, 2 by the great Kurihara, and 1 by the struggling Fukuchi.

Also in the game, with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth, the dangerous Yin came up to the plate, and cranked one to deep center, but it was catchable, no doubt. Matsunaga took chase, and made a jumping attempt to catch, but ended up slamming into the wall, missing the ball, and allowing Yin to reach third on a stand-up-triple. Matsunaga was removed from the game. The team doctor afterwards stated that it was only a bruised wrist, and he should only be out for a couple of days.

If you need any players, I will gladly scout (create) them for you.

In the meantime, keep up the good work!

It's nice to hear that again!

And yes, I actually could use a new starting pitcher, a right handed fireballer with poor control would be great, but anything'll do.
Thank youuuuu!

EDIT: Also, with this post, I am currently the only person on the forums with a post count in the 3000's.
