Paul Pitches Another Gem, Stranglers Win 2-1

Paul was pitching against Hiroki Kuroda. Looks like this will be a pitcher's duel.

Paul wasted no time in getting three outs in the first inning striking out the side on nine pitches. The Strangler did not score so fast. Kennedy hit a double off the wall in the first, but was stranded at second. Three innings later with Paul still perfect and the game still scoreless, the Stranglers looked to change that. Ryan Howard doubled off the wall with Mick Jagger then doubling to score the first run. 1-0 Scranton.

The Dodgers came back with only the second hit of the game. Kevin Youkillis hit a double to center field. Andrew Jones stepped up and stroked a single into right bringing home Kevin Youkillis.

Kennedy came up in the seventh inning with a birthday surprise. He blasted an opposite field solo shot going over the lucky pockets.

Paul then pitched 8.2 innings with WildThing coming in for the save on his birhtday.

We caught up with the two birthday boys after the game, "OUR GHOST POWERS WORKED!" was all they had to say.

Scranton: 2
Los Angeles: 1

WP: Paul McCartney 10-4
LP: Hiroki Kuroda 7-7
Save: WildThing 5-3 Save number 2
MVP: Chris Kennedy

McLeary: You should have noticed that you weren't ghosts when you fell on your faces.
Jagger: Yeah, I was distracted by a few ladies in front of a pizza parlor and ran into a pole. I think I just might be stupider than they are.
McLeary: "Stupider" is not a word.
Jagger: See what I mean?

Brian is confused as to why he didn't pitch... birthday presents have no meaning to him.

Stranglers Face Old Friend, Win in Extras 10-9

Today the Stranglers faced off against the Saint Louis Cardinals. The pitching matchup was Azul Abuela vs. former Strangler Bono.

The Stranglers started with Pablo hitting a double. Starr followed with a fielder's choice, but Pablo was safe. Kennedy singled as Pablo scored. Ryan Howard came up next and doubled making it 3-0. Mick Jagger followed with an RBI single. Lennon grounded out. Keith Richards singled with George Harrison brining them both home with a double making it 5-0. Azul then grounded into a double play.

The Stranglers scored another run with a Sanchez doubling and Kennedy knocking him in with a single. Bono was pulled after that. Kevin Fussel came in.

The Cardinals got on the board with a double from Albert Pujols and a bunch of hits dropping in. Namely from Chris Duncan, Brendan Barton. It was now 6-2 Scranton

Keith Richards blasted a Kevin Fussel mistake pitch into the Cardinals' bullpen. It was now a $-2 blowout.

The Cards weren't done yet, however. Both Jose Vidro and Cesar Isturiz got on with base hits. Albert Pujols blasted a 436 ft. three run home run. Azul was pulled for new Strangler Jordan Tata.

Mick Jagger had to come out with an injury after colliding with the wall. The Stranglers don't exactly have a backup catcher so McLeary came in. Reg McLeary didn't waste that opportunity. He blasted a solo shot making it 8-5. George Harrison followed two batters later with a solo shot of his own going up 9-5.

The Cardinals made it 9-7 with singles and HBP a key hit coming from Chris Duncan. Brian Wilson cane in to close it out, but Brendan Barton hit a game tying two run homer.

In the tenth, Ryan Howard hit a solo home run making it 10-9.

Rocky Racoon came on for the save.

WP: Brian Wilson 3-1 28 saves
LP: Todd Wellemeyer 3-1 1 save
Save: Rocky Racoon 3-2 3 saves

Yeah. Wilson usually needs at least a two run cushion to get settled in. That's why I used WildThing. This time he couldn't hold it. He should have slow starter ability. However, Brian does lead the NL in saves.

He won the World Series and traded everyone.

A. It's Brian Barton not Brendan Barton. Just pointing that out.
B. What happened to Charlie Watts?

Agent P that is not totally true. He was here when I won the World Series. Welcome back Test! I gave Anthony P Mick Jagger like two days ago because I predicted you weren't coming back. You can have him though. And Anthony, you can pick your second agent again now.

Stranglers Top Brewers in 14 Inning Thriller

What a game from the tenth inning on, it felt like the Stranglers could not get a hit while the Brewers were barely missing their scoring chances. Mark Prior was facing off against Yovanni Gallardo.

The Stranglers struck first with Kennedy doubling off the wall. Two batters later, Mick Jagger hit a single to make the score 1-0.

Prior was cruising along until the fourth inning where Ryan Braun tied it up with his first of two home runs. The game was tied 1-1.

The Stranglers pulled ahead again in he sixth with three singles from Kennedy, Howard and Jagger. Stranglers take the lead 2-1.

Prior was still going in the seventh when Brian Roberts jumped all over a fastball for a solo home run. Two batters later, Ryan Braun blasted his second homer of the game making it 3-2 Brewers.

In extra innings rookie reliever, Echevarria, loaded up the bases with no outs. Brian Wilson came in and saved the Stranglers by striking out the side.

The Stranglers seemingly could not get a hit until Keith Richards and George Harrison both singled. Little used last man off the bench, Ryan Snelling, singled up the middle to drive in Richards. Pablo Sanchez added insurance with a single of his own. The Stranglers led 5-3.

WildThing then closed it out for the Stranglers.

Scranton: 5
Milwaukee: 3

WP: Rudy Seanez
LP: Brian Turnbow
Save: WildThing
MVP: Ryan Snelling
