I'm gonna restart mylife mode on higher difficulty after I re-do success mode, but I finished my rookie season. Batted .489 with 103 HR, 202 RBI and 31 SB. I played every single game (no simming). RoTY, MVP, All-Star MVP. Swept the Yankees for the world series. My reward for all of that insane production? A $500,000 charity bill ($5,000 per home run) and a contract offer of $660,000. Thanks for nothing Philadelphia!

Ouch! They really are harsh in Philly. I mean booing Santa is one thing but come on.

I had the same issue with being "giving". I hit 62 HR but the coach made his typo so instead of donating $2,500/HR, I was donating $$25,000 per. Watch for that in your third year. I owed $1,550,000 of my 1,770,000 contract. That charity better be grateful cause that's the last time I help them.

Does becoming better friends with your agent help you get a better contract? If so I'm gonna start taking them to dinner instead of chicks. :\

I am going to test that out this off season, I have matthew at 3 stars and I could possibly have him at 4 1/2 or 5 at the end of the season. Then I'm going to try one of the guys who I have only 1 star with and see if there is a big difference in the contracts.

Oakley introduced me to an agent, Joshua, when I got him 5 stars so I'm not sure if there's much more important then that. He hasn't ever turned me down when I ask him to hang out since I've gotten to 5 stars.

I was going to ask the same thing. I wasn't sure, but I thought it would hurt to try, so I got my agent Darryl to 5 stars and my next contract with him was the highest possible, $30,000,000 but I'm not sure if it would have been that high anyway.

2nd year batted .310 37HR and 87RBIs, went from 870k to 750k. Every negotiation lowered the offer from the initial 900k. Went to the world series all the way to game 7 too as the wild card team on expert too.

Who was your agent?

matthew w/2 stars

i had the 29 year agent/guy up to 5 stars as agent but accidentally clicked on matthew again and got a 1.5 million contract  had 66 hr 150rbi and .350 w/45sb too

Well, here's an update of my guy.
I've played in all 111 games this season and started all except about 5, but only have 294 at bats because Derek Lee always comes in for me around the 7th inning to be my defensive sub. I at 3rd right now, I hit 5th for a while, and hit 8th for about 25 games at the beggining of the season.

.340 avg
15 HR's
45 RBI's

I've had two times this season where the manager said the opposition started to scout me a lot, and I've never gotten to where they don't scout me, so it is hard but I'm doing very well. My team(Cubs) are in 1st place at 63-48 2 games ahead of the pirates, yes the pirates are good. Now, one huge reason we are this good is because of the signing of CC Sabathia in the off season, he's 14-0 with a 1.09 ERA. He goes 8+ innings every single game, so I'd say were happy to have him.

I'm having trouble with meeting people. How do you guys do it? It might have to do with me practicing every time that there's a free action day.

The only way to meet people is if they introduce themselves to you, also after the draft you can decide to introduce yourself to someone. You can also meet new people if you go on an activity(like golf) with someone and they bring a friend. I had a couple friends that were members of the A's because Oakley is on the A's now and he invited them to play golf with us.

How do you do an activity with a friend? And sorry if the manual answers these questions but since I ordered it from gamefly I don't have the manual or case yet.

Well, you can go to the movies with people right away, you can also go out and get a meal with them right away. You just have to go into chat during a free time and select the player you want to hang out with. Now, to be able to do something else with them(chess, golf, fish, darts etc...) you have to do that alone until you get one level up on one of those activities then you can go do that with a friend. You have to buy the golf clubs, fishing rod, and darts in the store.

Ok thanks. I'll definitly try this out first thing tomorrow. It was getting a little dull with nobody to talk or interact with.
