Might as well make my first post here.

I created a character through the success mode and then used him in MyLife mode. I didn't pay much attention to what was going on when I first started and decided to make the 500(0) charity donation for home runs, thinking what the hell, right?

I'll admit that I play on the normal run of the mill difficulty with lock-on 1, and to make a long story short I hit around 207 home runs for the season and being forced to donate over a million bucks. I got a 1.5 mil contract for the next season and it took me the entire regular season to pay off my debt. Kinda sucked.

You almost tripled the homerun record, I know it was on lock on so it made it very easy, but still you almost tripled it. Sucks for you that you decided to donate money for it though.

Homeruns are stupidly easy, at least on normal mode. My CF for the Yankees hit 3 HRs in Spring Training to take Melky Cabrera's spot in the starting roster. Currently in the middle of April and I have a 7 consecutive HR streak going. Thinking of bumping the difficulty up, but I heard the rookie year is really easy and gets harder as the seasons go by.

I shut the lock-on off completely for the 2nd season, kept the difficulty the same though (I like a challenge but not in my sports games) and I managed to break my old HR record by about 52 runs.

Feels nice to actually be able to buy things again.

It gets harder once they start to scout you. This can be good or bad. If you don't have any cold or hot zones yet, if you do well enough on a certain zone, it will turn into a hot zone. Vice versa with cold zones.

That's good to hear. I didn't really want to end up hitting 162 homeruns. I think the middle of the plate is heating up for me as I am hitting everything out of the park when it's thrown down the middle.

You're playing on Normal Mode right? If you don't hit 162 HRs this season you probably either hit more or you will next season. After enough games, You'll be so locked in, almost everything you hit will be a HR or at least a double. You may want to switch to expert. Be warned, it's very challenging but not impossible.

I hit 66 in my 3rd year on expert (B power @ 160 power, A contact, B speed) without lock but when they scout you hard, it gets a lot more difficult. I think i'll try the hardest setting after this player.

Ugh! You do actually have to pay up at the end of the year?

I've got over thirty homeruns my first year. I'm not sure I want to cut back on my homeruns or be in debt for a crazy amount of time.

I was really surprised by the stuffed animal costume and the Santa costume at Christmas time, too. There are so many surprises in my life mode, I love it so much.

It's funny when the manager says" Well mother's day is any day now do you want to make a donation?" Does he not remember which day it is but only that it's sometime in the next few weeks?

Well, I started a new season since my other one was pretty cheap. So far, I've met Jacob and Darryl, again, and the nurse, which is a first. But I have yet to meet Emma again. I'd rather marry a stor clerk than a waitress. LOL! if only I was older, LMAO!

After playing my first season as a CF, I go through year 2 spring training as a CF and end up as the starting C for year 2

2008 Trade Deadline. Blockbuster trade between Dodgers (my team) and the Yankees (the lovable hated ones)

M. Rivera (AL saves leader, ERA under 1.5) for J. Kent (.230 hitter, 12 HR) !!!11ONE!111!!

Wait, we have two closers, Saito (ERA under 1.00) and Me (NL saves leader but gets exhausted playing every day).

Steinbrenner must have not liked it when Rivera didn't show up for the gala the other night.
