The next day, I went to our last practice before our game against the Speedy Thieves, which would be the first game I would get to start!

What should I practice?

DECISION TIME!!
Speed
Breaking Ball(please specify learn new, or level up certain pitch)
Stamina
Control

One question: Do you like doing this so far?

Let's learn a Slow Curve.

Also, I'm absolutely enjoying this so far!

Good. :D

I went over with the breaking ball coach, and learned a new pitch, a curveball. I couldn't get it to break though, unless I threw it slow, so coach said that it would have to be a slow curve. That works for me!

The next day, I headed to the field for our game. After warming up, I sat on the bench, and tried to relax. I talked with Sheldon, and that helped. Before I knew it, it was game time! I breezed through the first inning, even striking out a batter. In the 2nd though, I ran into trouble. Their clean up batter smacked a double, and the 5th batter bunted him over to 3rd. So, there was a runner on 3rd, and only 1 out. What should I do?

DECISION TIME!!
Try to strikeout the next 2 batters
Try to get ground-balls
Forget about the runner, and just focus on getting outs
Intentionally walk the batter

Choose wisely!

I decided to walk the guy, in order to get to the bottom of the lineup. He stole second base. The next guy grounded out, to make 2 outs. I gave the next guy a knuckleball, but hung it right out over the plate. He smashed it to center field, and I thought I was done for, but Sheldon tracked it down and caught it on the warning track. That was a pile of stress off of my shoulders.

I meant to scare you there.

Yeah, no one scored. I thought about letting them score with that option, but then decided to make that a different option. Almost.

I pitched well, and was still going strong in the 6th inning. Once I started in the 7th though, I was getting tired. There was only 1 out. What should I do?

DECISION TIME!!
Finish out the inning
Finish one more batter
Tell Coach to pull me out
Tell Coach to get Josh ready

Choose wisely!

I decided I would finish one last batter. I gave it my all, and got it to a 2-2 count. How should I pitch him?

DECISION TIME!!
SCB in the dirt
Try to get him with the KN
Fastball high in the zone
SCB for a strike

Choose wisely! Sorry it took so long to get another update. :(

It's OK.

Ah, your first really poor choice. :(

I tried to give him a knuckleball low and away to strike him out, but it had no speed on it, and it didn't break well. The batter smoked it to left center for a double. Coach pulled me out then.
"You gotta let me know if you need out of the game, Techer. We can't be giving up runs due to a stubborn pitcher." Coach said.
I just walked over to the end of the bench. Lots of people said things like good game, and nice try, but I wasn't really listening. My first start was not a good one.

After that, Josh bailed me out by getting the last 2 outs. We won the game 1-0.

Yeah... that was the worst choice there. It's okay though. You're still a starter at least.
