It's not okay, but update time:

We're still looking for our first win, and so is our opposition. One team's getting their first win today, and it better be us. Rodriguez will be starting in Driscoll's place.

4/4/08

(0-2) Arizona Diamondbacks vs. (0-2) San Francisco Giants

Giants..........: 0|2|2|0|3|0|0|0|0 7|16|0
Diamondbacks: 0|0|0|3|0|0|0|2|0 5|7|1

CHASE FIELD, PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- The Giants were looking to get off to a quick start against Haren. In the top of the second inning, with runners on first and second, Jose Castillo came up and hit an RBI single to give the Giants the first run of the ballgame. Then, after a base hit by the pitcher Lincecum, Dave Roberts hit an RBI single to make it 2-0. But after that, a fly out and a strike out would result in the Giants leaving the bases juiced. In the top of the third, Bengie Molina then hits an RBI double off the center field wall to make it 3-0, Giants. The Giants would proceed to score one more run, and then a double play ends the inning.

But, it looks as if the Diamondbacks could rally back. After Shilo hit a double in the bottom of the fourth inning, Shayka hit a home run on a changeup right down the heart of the plate to make it 4-2 in the Giants' favor. Then, the Giants would hit back-to-back home runs after Stanley hit a solo shot.

But, the Giants would retaliate in the next half inning, with Bengie Molina hitting an RBI single down the first base line, at which point Haren was taken out of the game. Then, the first pitch that Cruz throws was taken into center field for a two-RBI single from Aurilia to make the game 7-3.

No more runs would be scored until the bottom of the eighth, when Shilo unloaded on a mistake pitch right down the heart of the plate for a two-run blast to make it 7-5 and shrink the Giants' lead to two runs. Yet, those would be the last two runs of the game, as the Diamondbacks cannot find their first victory as they lose, 7-5.

Boom diddly bang, this is my reasoning.

I couldn't think of another color to use also, but that's another story.

After getting our first win, I'm excited to see how many wins we can string together. We're playing the Phillies, who are one game over .500 right now, so they will be an interesting test for our team. Carr will be starting in Curley's place, I think Curley needs a day off as he hasn't been producing lately.

4/7/08

(1-4) Arizona Diamondbacks vs. (3-2) Philadelphia Phillies

Diamondbacks:
Phillies..........:

CITIZENS BANK PARK, PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- The scoring started early in the top of the first, when Stanley bombed a fastball right down the middle to straight away center field to make it 1-0 Diamondbacks early. Then, in the top of the second, Carr hit a two-run home run to prove that he's a nice replacement for Curley to make the score 3-0.

Then, in the next half inning, the Phillies would fight back. After a pair of base hits, Rollins came up and hit an RBI double into the right-center field gap to make the score 3-1. They'd pick up one more run in that inning.

The game would stay that way until the top of the fourth when Driscoll hit a solo blast to lead off the inning to make it 4-2 in the Diamondbacks' favor. Afterwards, the team has done what they have proven to do best: hit back-to-back home runs, as MacKenzie stepped up to the plate and blasted a weak pitch 456 feet out to left-center field to extend the D-Backs' lead to 3 runs. But, they weren't done, as Boyle hits the third home run in a row for the D-Backs', as they get back-to-back-to-back home runs to make it 6-2, at which point Durbin (the Phillies' pitcher was taken out of the game).

But then, in the next half-inning once more, Utley hits a two-RBI triple to narrow the lead to 2 runs, to make the score 6-4. In the next inning they'd score one more run.

Then, in the top of the sixth, Carr once more shows he's a valuable asset to this team as he hits another solo home run to make this game an official slugfest with a score of 7-5.

In the next half-inning, the Phillies would pick up one more run with an Utley RBI double, and there are now runners on second and third. Howard then hits a sac fly to tie the game up at 7 in the sixth inning. Then, the next batter, Jenkins, hits an RBI triple that hits off the top of the center field wall.

After that, no more runs would be scored, as the Diamondbacks lose a tough game, 8-7.

Accidentally skipped over the box stuff, too. Oops.
