Sorry for the personal post, but just to let you know, tl;dr: I may or may not have a girlfriend and may need advice, and I have a procedure soon on my teeth.

So, my life is a little weird lately. I'm really interested in this one girl in my Algebra class (the only class I have her in, besides lunch), and I've talked to her for about a couple days, just the basic "How're you doing" and "How's your day been" and all that stuff. The thing is, I don't know if she has a boyfriend already or not (she's a sophomore, if that helps), and I don't know how or when to ask, plus, to me, it seems weird that I like a sophomore, and I'm a Junior. If you have any advice, feel free to PM me or help me out in this thread.

The other thing is, in June, I'm going to have a procedure done on my teeth. The dentist (or to get technical, a periodontist, whatever that means) will take a piece of tissue from the roof of my mouth and sew it on to the gums on my bottom teeth, which have receded the past few months ever since a procedure late last year that was said to prevent further receding. I'm pretty nervous about it, since I'm going to be knocked out during the procedure (of course), and that there's a needle involved, but that's after I'm knocked out, so I'm pretty cool with that.

Sorry again if this is too long, too personal, and makes this seem like a guidance forum or something, but I just wanted to throw that all out there.

I don't feel that there's anything wrong with you liking a sophomore, dish. And I don't think that just the basic stuff would constitute her being your girlfriend.

I would recommend talking to her more, and getting to know her better. She'll eventually reveal if she has a boyfriend or not, don't worry 'bout it. I'm sure you'll be fine!

And that thing with your teeth sounds awful.

On the thing with the girl, I have no authority on it, but I pretty much agree with what Dish said.
As for your teeth, it will probably go like this: They'll knock you out, you'll wake up, and it'll be done.

In February, I was pitching during practice and a grounder came back and hit me on the shin. It didn't hurt too bad, but there started to be a buildup of random fluid that we tried to drain multiple times but keeps coming back. The doctor has no idea why it happened. It doesn't hurt at all, fortunately, it's just a nuisance.
