Are you doing fielders too?

Pitchers w/ missing data = no MLB data from 2010-11. Use your best judgement.

Fielders have been more or less done since winter. Just need to get them organized.

Also why does it seem like there are a lot of V-SLD pitches instead of SLDs?

If you watch some of the pitchers in the majors and analyse pitch fx data you'll find some pitcher's sliders have greater vertical than horizontal break. I use other pitches such as h-sinker and v-slider as replacements for the changeup due to both movement and speed differential. You'll find although it may be labelled as a v-slider or h-sinker in that case it gives more realism. A good example is the Strasbourg I created his change mimics his sinking fastball thus I used h-sinker also cause of the 12mph speed differential.

RE: V-SLD.

Rob is correct. If you want to mirror PitchFx, most traditional sliders fall somewhere within the V-SLD to SLV range. The SLD and H-SLD resemble a sidearmer's frisbee slider.

The V-SLD can be tough to hit at first, but you will get the hang of it. A good V-SLD definitely feels more like the real thing IMO. If you hate it, just replace it with a SLV, SLD or H-SLD.

Some pitchers have 3 pitches in a particular set (i.e. a CHG, CCHG, and V-SLD).

Also in "id1" what do X and Z stand for?

Thanks for bringing that up! If you sort alphabetically by Team, ID1, and ID2, the list will be in organized by depth (SP 1-5, CL, SU, MR, LR, AAA). The difference between the X and Z pitchers . . . those who appeared on their team's respective 40-man roster vs those who didn't.

Yes, we have to update them manually, if you want to take the time to. I'm doing a project where I'm editing all the rosters in my game, and then possibly doing a season mode with them.

I was planning to provide a hitters update- and I still might - but my laptop ate all of my excel files. Not looking forward to starting over and don't plan to anytime soon. Sorry.

At the very least can you give me how you determine the abilities (hitters needed, pitchers would be great)

For those PS2ers I should have a roster update out soon I can't give an ETA but should be soon. If you guys want help with compiling an excel format style stats/abilities etc I'm more than able to help on that even though my system is not a Wii

Wait, how do I figure out what special abilities to give players? It's semi-difficult to read.
