I only have leafgreen, but have beaten all 8 gyms and the Elite 4. My starting pokemon was squirtle which is not at level 92 or something like that.

I don't think I did the Elite Four, but I don't remember.

And Charmander is my favorite in Kanto, no doubt, he was my first Pokemon ever, after all.

You should probably invest in some repels then!

I don't remember specifically how much we played the portable games, but I know my brother and I were fans of Pokemon in general when we were really young. But I think we played more of the N64 Pokemon games more than the portable ones.

Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Stadium 2, Pokemon Snap. The classics. :)
