To be completely honest, I have no idea.

I can't wait for tomorrow, though! :)

I think Jack would have a receding brown hairline, small bags around the eyes, blue eyes, maybe some facial hair on the chin. Just my opinion, though.

I would picture him about the same, save for the facial hair.

Pretty cool/odd we would have such similar images of him.

I was feeling particularly reminiscey today, as the series was making me think about my last couple of high school games... Especially my very last one as a senior...

May 27, 2005

My last high school game is today... God... It's going to be weird not playing on here anymore. Our last game is against our cross-town rivals, Newton South, this is going to be a tough one, I'm sure.

Newton North Tigers - 4
Newton South Lions - 3

Tigers. 3|0|0|0|0|0|1 4|14|0
Lions.. 1|0|1|0|0|1|0 3|11|0

Lineup:
1. Robert Perry - 2B (2-4, K)
2. Jack Allen - RF (3-4, 2 2B)
3. Stephen Granados - 3B (3-4, 2B, HR, 3 RBI)
4. Charles Hooper - 1B (1-4, 1 RBI)
5. Joseph Cooley - SS (1-4)

Tigers Beat Lions!

Baseball: In a local game yesterday, the North Tigers beat the South Lions by a final score of 4-3, quite a final game for the seniors who are leaving the school. One of those seniors was 18 year old Stephen Granados, who was crowned MVP of the game for his excellent job at the plate, going 3-4, with a double, a homerun, and 3 RBI. "I guess I was seeing it well today," he said "I've been hitting left handed pitching especially well this season, so, it was good to see one in the last game of the season." Team captain, Jack Allen, also said after the game, "We did excellently, I think. It's nice to see such a close game at the end of the year. I'll miss these guys, but I'm sure Robert Perry will make an excellent captain next year, even though he'll only be a junior."

Granados and Allen were both some of the best to ever play at Newton North, it's going to be tough to lose Granados' power, and Allen's 5 tool style of play at the same time, next season may be rough. But, freshman Roger Lesher, is looking to be a worthy replacement out in right, which has been occupied by Allen for the past 4 years. Also, sophomore Frank King is looking to be the new first baseman, he'll be competing for the spot though. Let's hope Newton North will be as bright a light as they were this season!

- Jennifer Andrews

March 11, 2016

Man, I miss those days... If only I had never severely broken my left wrist in college... I was a shoo-in to get to the Majors.
Oh well, though, I think my life turned out alright!

How did you come up with all those other names? Did you use fakenamegenerator or just think them up?

Fakenamegenerator saved me.

I'm awful at coming up with names.

Wow.

Image
Image – Takuya Kanazawa

Tokyo Dome, Bunkyo, Tokyo – Holy God, and all that is mighty. Team Japan pulled this win out of nowhere. Well, that’s not exactly true, this win came from the Knights’ Takuya Kanazawa’s bat. In the bottom half of the tenth, Yoshio Itoi was pinch hit by young Takuya Kanazawa, with the bases filled by Sora Kurihara reaching on an error, Aoki on a single, and Nakajima on a single as well, the first pitch was up high, and Kanazawa took a big swing at it…

But before we finish off what happens, let’s recap how we got there, shall we? Well, first off, Kazuya Fujita (also of the Knights) didn’t let up a hit until the top of the 7th, which was a single by team China’s center fielder, Lim Ma. “So close. I was so close…” Fujita said, and he was pretty close, truth be told. His shutout would remain until the 9th, where Team Japan took their 2-0 lead. The first two outs were quick, and then Reiza got a single. And Yin came up. Guess what he did, he hit a 2-run blast, a game tying homerun with 2 outs in the top of the ninth… Yin! Ota then came in, and got out of the inning.

In comes the bottom of the tenth, and Sora Kurihara hit a routine fly ball to left field, and the fielding proficient Tan dropped it. He dropped it! The whole momentum then switched. Aoki and Nakajima followed up with back-to-back singles, and then Itoi was slated to bat. Manager Kensou Mori called for Kanazawa, who was a last minute addition to the team, by the way, to bat instead. First pitch was high in the zone, and he took a big swing at it, absolutely crushing it, sending it over the center field wall! A pinch-hit-walk-off-GRAND SLAM!!! WHAT?! NO! YES!

Goodness me, what a climactic series. And also, how cliché, but who cares, it was awesome.

- Tsutomu Nishioka

It's time to pursue Reiza, he didn't do excellently, so I don't think that many other teams will be pursuing him.
I called up Preston, "Hey, Preston, we still going for Reiza?" I asked
"Of course! It's too bad we can't go for Yin or Tsui, they were killing Japan. And only the best of Japan were even there, so I can't imagine what they would be like playing here everyday." He replied
"Yeah, they're getting looked at by pretty much everyone. Anyways, I'm going to call up Reiza and have him meet me at the office, so I'll be down in about 20 minutes."
"Very well, I'll see you two soon."
"Yep, see you."
"Bye."
I hung up, and went to call Reiza.
The phone rang a few times before he picked up.
He spoke Chinese, which I don't understand.
"Uh... Yes, I'm Jack Allen of the Kyoto Knights." I said, as a response, even though it may have been incorrect
"Oh, sorry about that. Jack Allen, eh? Of the Knights?" He said back
"The one and only!"
"Well, yes, what do you want?"
"We, the Knights, would like for you to become a part of our organization."
"Well, I, Reiza Mitsuo, would like to, seeing as your team really broke down Team China, with Kanazawa, Fujita and Kurihara. where will I be playing?"
"You'll be replacing Akitaka Shimzono in right field."
"Shimozono? I know of him, why would you get rid of him? He seems to be useful."
"Oh nononononono, we're not getting rid of him, simply moving him back to catcher. I agree, he's much too good to lose."
"Alright."
"So, Reiza, I would like you to come down to my office at 15:00, that work for you?"
"It may, I'll have to check. Don't expect it to be an absolute yes, though, as I am quite busy."
"Of course. Meet me at my office, which is at Blue Stadium, and come up to the 4th floor, that's where I'll be."
"Fair enough, goodbye Jack."
"Bye."

He hung up. People weren't lying when they said he was a wee bit obnoxious, but I think he'll help out the team plenty.

15:00

Reiza showed up at my office door with a knock the second my clock switched to 15:00.
"Come in Reiza." I said
He walked in, and took a seat.

We discussed contracts and everything, and came to a mutual agreement.
Reiza is now part of the team!

Mitsuo Reiza - OF #44
AGE, 2ND POSTION, B/T, TRJ, CON, POW, RUN, ARM, FLD, E RES

Kyoto Knightly
March 23, 2016
An Intense Start

Image
Image – Takuya Kanazawa

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto – Well, The Knights sure started off the season excitingly. After being no-hit for the first 4+ innings, the Knights would win by a final score of 7-6, on a walk-off homerun in the bottom half of the 11th by Takuya Kanazawa, who went 2-5, with another homerun, and four RBI. He spoke after the game, “It took me awhile, but I think I’m finally back in the swing of things.” Kanazawa said, and we would agree.

As mentioned before, the Knights were behind for most of the game, that is until the Hawks’ pitching staff imploded in the 6th, letting up a total of 5 runs, and giving the Knights a fairly large lead, that is, until the 8th, when Uchikawa (who went 4-4, with a double, a homerun, and 3 RBI) hit a 2-run homerun to put the Hawks within 1 run. Hiyama was then pulled, and Koyama was put in in relief. He wouldn’t get out of the inning as he let up the tying run. Fujii was called upon, and got out of the inning.

The Hawks would again score in the 10th, but Matsunaga, with 2 outs, got an RBI single to drive in Ushida and tie the game up at 6.

The bottom of the 11th lasted all of 4 pitches, as Kanazawa cranked a homerun to deep left, and ended it!

The Knights are now 3-0-0 on opening day, congratulations to them!
